@@nextgenblogger Dear Sir, I was too excited with your good explanation, that when it comes to 6:04 to turn the text into the opposite direction failed with your instruction of using the Flip tool at 6:43 & at 7:12 by clicking the Text along path, my text got jumbled up looking like a bunch of complicated red knots. Please explain this part again to get the text right in the opposite direction. Thank you.

Inside the Flip settings,after you select 'Path' inside 'Transform' and 'Vertical' inside 'Direction',you need to click once on top of your rotated layer. Don't get confused in this. There are two layers. Background Layer and the New layer which you created and rotated. So you need to click once on this rotated layer not the background layer.

For whatever reason, this was the video that finally succeeded in guiding me in making this working... I am using gimp 2.8 and this video tied everything together. Your approach was simple and clear. I liked the fact that you also used the drop down menues occasionally. Great job.

Thank you sir for uploading this vedio tomorrow iam having my multimedia exam. And in that iam having create a innovative logo. Iam very perfect in creating a basic parts of logo but when it comes to write a text in it. It was a very difficult task for me. And only for that matter I have lost my Mark's. But after seeing your vedio. I think in this exam if I get the logo I will definitely do it. Once again thank you sir

After rotating text and clicking on Rotate (around 5:20) red outline text stays where I rotated it to but the black text remains where it originally has been. Great clarity in instruction, by the way!

So instead of the black text rotating,the red text is getting rotated. Is that what you're saying?

When I try to do the second half and I click "Text Along Path" I get a sqiggley line. I'm using 2.10

great vid, thank you. I have a question though; my end result looks like the text is small on the inside (towards the center of the circle) and larger on the outside. what can I do to get the letters to be the same size?

Its difficult to say why this happened. Normally text size should be uniform both on the inside and the outside. Can you give me the timestamp from where you are beginning to notice the difference?

@@nextgenblogger it happens as soon as I press on text along path. So when I fill it, it's already deformed. Maybe it's the font I chose that makes it more visible or the size of the circle?

I think what matters is font size and circle size. Because if the font is of bigger size and the circle is of smaller size or vice versa,both these situations will not work. You have to make sure that the font size complements the circle size.

Every time I put text along the path, instead of going on the right side. it goes to the left and it's upside down and I can't fix it.

Can you give me the timestamp, that way it would be a bit easier for me to follow on. As for text going to left side, it can easily be rotated using the rotate tool to the right side.

This dont work right for me. I do it step by syep but my gimp acts much different. Text doesnt show up when I fill it in and is stuck behind the background layer

The narration is out of sync with the instruction actions with the voice. You need to resync the narration with the instruction actions in the video

The tutorial is great! But Gimp is absolutely INFURIATING! Every time it does a different error, at every Undo it goes the wrong way, it's horrible!

True,I faced this problem as well. I think with time,you become a little better handling the editor. I don't know,it took me a good deal of time to get the hang of it.
