This show should have been called "Give me a hug" there were more hugs on this show than any other and Nell just looks huggable. Rosetta played Nell's mother on here and she played with Thelma Hopkins again on Family matters.

Nell's TV mom and Addy were on Family Matters also. Would have been great if Nell could have joined that cast too.

I may be the only one but I’m happy they wrote out the three girls. They hadn’t been making much contribution for a while. Joey and Matthew are much better.

I agree. The last season had a couple of weak episodes, but overrall, it was actually very good. Writing out the 3 girls and having Nell and Addy become roommates showed growth. Nell and Addy were the new Laverne and Shirley - they had great chemistry.

Well, the fifth season they did sort of focus the show more on Nell and Addy so it seemed like the daughters were being phased out. But I disagree about getting rid of the daughters.The show suffered without them there.

This was my favorite episode. Hello Neil - BOOM - I Begged you to answer the door... LOL.

Agreed. Nell went too far sometimes. I hated it. I was glad when Addy would get Nell from time to time. As an adult, Nell's abuse is not as funny.

This was the first episode with the newer set of opening credits for season 6. There would be additional versions with Rosie O'Donnell, John Hoyt, and Paul Sand. Airdate - October 29, 1986.

I don't like how nell rants and raves at Addy EVERY episode, then goes back and forth between being nice and mean....Addy always apologizing or accepting nell's insincere apologies. I wouldn't be friends with anyone who treated me like that constantly

Nell Carter was a good actress

These episodes made me can't wait to grow up and get an apartment. Man allll that space.😊 Now im grown and paying $1400 for a 600 sq apartment in Dallas. 😢

Nell starred in the sitcom (Reba), in about 4 episodes during the late 90's to early 2000's. She played the divorce Counselor in the episodes!! I believe that was Nell's last acting show, before she passed away!!!

Set redressing and reuse were not uncommon. I remember seeing bits of the Brady house (living room and stairs) in other shows, Bewitched had a set repurposed for The Paul Lynde Show, etc.

OMG nell is annoying sometimes her pettiness and her tempers,I do love ❤ her sometimes but she will definitely hands down be difficult to live with,addy a much better person to live with,in my opinion,like I said nell is amazing dont get me wrong but her our burst and tempers a mess especially if she don't get her way no doubt me and nell will be fighting lol lol I'm easy to live with because I'm nice,friendly ,helpful,quite,cook stat out of peoples ways I dont disturb nobody I dont make alot of noise lol thats why everybody says around me I've always been easy to live with.i hate arguing and drama.I understand people have there UPS and downs but all the time is bad some people you CAN live with and sometimes you can't.I love ❤ a clean house as well.

They were not a lesbian couple. They were best friends since childhood who became roommates. They both date men. Nell was married and divorced... always flirting or chasing after some Guy (usually an ex-boyfriend). Addy was engaged once and dates men. SMH. The two actresses were also best friends Off Camera.

LOL...some people read too much into a joke...but to be honest there are NOT too many grown people that age that argue with their friends to that degree and then make up just like that. Younger people - YES...but as people approach middle age, ain't nobody got time for that! Unless they are in a romantic relationship, that much yelling and tension is just too much. I think we tend to use narcasistic too easily. She certainly has selfish moments and can be inconsiderate, but she's always able to realise she was wrong, and able to apologize. She sacrificed her whole life to raise well balanced independent person.

I agree, labelling someone as narcissist has become more quickly done in present times but the gaslighting, the insecurity, needing to be depended on, having tantrums and manipulating to get ones way are narcissistic traits.
