I always loved her singing and her bubbly personality. Tough love with plenty of humor what this generation needs more of.

I love Nell this is my favorite episode ever rest and peace Nell I loved her documentary a great singer and a great actress
Nell sang Beautifully 😧❤
This is one of my personal favorite episodes because I can relate to her relationship with her father. It had torn me up when she had sang " Amazing Grace". I only met him twice when I was seventeen years old and it was so bittersweet. A year later after I had turned eighteen, he was found unalive of a heroin overdose at age forty-two. I still miss him so much.😔💔🙏❤️🌞🌹🕊️
I can't stop crying!!! And Nell really did honor to that song!
21:18 OMG 😱 just an incredible voice! Damn, I couldn’t help but cry 😢 such a beautiful & powerful voice! This is 40 yrs ago! Nellie Ruth u r The Queen! Rest in paradise, sweet dreams 💗
what a tearjerker episode! hug your loved ones
nell I'll always love u
Nell's mix of dry, deadpan, and shsrp sardonic wit, along with dramatic acuity, just makes this show. Dolph is the perfect foil as well. ❤
RIP. Nell. Carter.
That house looks like the Sanford and Son set just redressed.

Thank you, Nell Carter, for singing Amazing Grace.
Regardless of how old you are and how old your parents are, always love your parents no matter what.

This is a total different family dynamic, as the later episodes.

Roseanne had some good episodes my favorite episode was when Darlene had her premature daughter and then the female generation gathered around her took turns holding the baby and talking to the baby then when Darlene holds the baby and finish talking to her daughter she breaks down and cries 😔 but Gimme a Break is way better by far.....

Both shows are great. Rosanne was never a loser show. They dealt with topics that families are face with on a daily basis. That is one of the reasons why people watched the show as they can relate to the show. People only watch shows if they are going through similar experiences. Gimme a Break same thing only it was back in the 80s vs 90s and 20th century for Rosanne. Both shows had high ratings. ABC made the mistake in firing Rosanne another reason the high ratings. Rosanne was the show and they ruined it. The Connors will eventually die off.

Crazy cause her mom was the mom from family matters

Originally Hilma Haynes played Nell's mother Emma Harper. Years later they rewrote the character and the mom from family matters Rosetta Lenoir played the mom who they renamed Maybelle Harper. They also renamed the sisters character and replaced her with Lynn Thigpen who played Loretta Harper instead of Marie. Writers back then I guess think people don't notice changes like that.
Love Nell
Nell's father was plain mean. So called "Christian".
