1:02 I don't think I ever saw the mayor in another episode of Gilmore Girls after this one. What happened, did he disagree with Taylor on some small, insignificant point of order in the town bylaws and the latter had him executed?

i think this is one of the funniest scenes of season 1. "they got stood up. they should have been wearing prom dresses." lol

the first and only time there was a Mayor. Taylor had him eliminated and used as fertilizer for his personal garden.

When Luke did what he was doing in his seat and starts yelling all I was thinking was and we have lift off.

"there's no use for a lava lamp unless you're on drugs" - nuff said.

"Stand in line for toilet paper" thought he was gonna say in the USA 😂 anyone else here during quarantine?

Yep, me. It's snowing like crazy over where I'm at and that's just as awful for me as the quarantine. I don't even have extra winter gear and just stay indoors all day watching this

My favorite is also when Luke and Taylor are arguing in the streets and Loriel and Rory just happened to be walking with bon bons. Loriel stops Rory, they stare and Loriel hands over the bonbons. Boom! They have fulfilled a classic request!

I've always loved this scene.

@CantStayAway I have to go with the town meetings. While Friday Night Dinners can be side-splittingly funny, there is also the occasional dramatic moment to balance things out. The town meetings are unapologetically silly every time.

List is on my list of favourite scenes. To be fair... it's a very long list. The show was just THAT awesome!!!

@Shular67 - Very true, very true...but what about that one town meeting in...season 3, I believe, "A Tale of Poes and Fire", I think that's the episode title? Lindsay and Luke's girlfriend (forget her name, but she's the one he marries on the cruise ship later on) act sort of icey toward Rory and Lorelai, that's slightly dramatic, isn't it?
