I watched a neighbor's dog briefly, and also had a stray dog in on another occasion. The cats weren't happy, especially Sarge.

The plating on these pre-war gillettes is a gold wash with shellac on top. The shellac is delicate and the gold wash is far thinner than an electroplate finish. $250 is a crazy price, imo, unless it is in NOS condition. They are very nice shavers though. I would not use any force with this razor. It is not a mild shaver, though not extremely aggressive either. I have a hard time imagining you screaming, or hooting and hollering and dancing around. That would give the cats something to think about.

Thanks. Have had a few unexpected screams when the sting from the after shave was worse than I expected.
