Gilgamesh is actually 2/3rds god. That said...his ability to fight is near shit. The only reason he's so strong is in using his treasury unlocked by the Gate of Babylon. Now i do have the love/love/hate relationship to him, but Heracles could kick his ass. Cú Chulainn could kick his ass. If she played it right, Medusa could kick his ass.

Also, unless you know when and where we (as an irl species) found him, i dont really give a damn. By the Grail, Gilgamesh isnt at his true potential. He cant be. Thats the point

I forgot just how badly Ufotable gimped Gilgamesh. This is how well he's supposed to fight, not just spamming swords that never hit their target. Keeping up in close combat with Saber and being fully capable of turning the tide of the fight the second he starts trying. And even at the very end, Saber only wins with a surprise ability that lets her get a clean shot in.

Gil is still my most favorite and he is the strongest since he and edicku are gods well gil is demi god but still the power scales are no were close. Not taking there masters into account.

Saber is a king forged by fighting which is why the skillz all the table members have

Gilgamesh has skill in melee, but not as good as other high level servant like saber. He never risked his life on his actual melee 1 on 1 with equal power in terms on weapon. He use his NP at distance and Ea too much and overpower his opponent without any effort. He never tries to improve his skill in melee because he always the best and there are no need for him to improve on anything. While other servant risked their life on actual fighting in melee and tries to be better at it, so in terms on melee range: saber and lancer class is always better than archer.

This is not a videogame or Pokemon, servants are based on heroes, heroes have their own skills and Gil is a master at arms. The archer class is just a type of vessel.

@@arziel340 your statement just shows your lack of knowledge about the nasu verse in general. Gilgamesh is the strongest servent followed by Karna. Yes i know if a master is weak it affects the servant. Even if you give Arturia (saber) Rin tohasaka as her master she will loose to Gilgamesh. Excalibur can destroy a city at best. Enuma Elish can destroy a planet buddy. Saber herself told to shirou the only servent she was unable to beat was Gilgamesh

@@hsproductionsify The lack of knowledge statement is ironic. Anyway, Gilgamesh being the strongest Servant nowadays is arguable. He still kind of holds the position, but just barely, and there are plenty of Servants who counter him and can match him, even when not held back. Karna's spot as the second strongest Servant is also not so clear-cut, I also don't recall him ever being specially stated to be as such in the first place, but I'll move on. Karna has many equals, and likewise Servants who can counter him. He may be in the same tier as Gilgamesh, but so are many others, including Artoria. Artoria's statement of not being able to beat Gilgamesh, does not mean she was defeated. The fight was ultimately interrupted by Kiritsugu. In fact, Gilgamesh has technically never beaten Artoria at her peak. Not saying he can't but that's a small little fact for you. Hell, the win ratio is actually in Artoria's favour lol. EA cannot destroy a planet. At best, when Gilgamesh initiates its Anti-World function, he can destroy all of reality, which is one of the two Earth's layers, alongside the illusion layer. This makes the world uninhabitable, but the planet is not technically destroyed, it is just reverted back to its original form as a giant ball of lava. You're free to view this as the same as the planet being destroyed, but just know that technically you are wrong, the Earth still lives. And also, it's debatable whether or not Gilgamesh would even be allowed to use EA for this purpose, as the Counter Forces have already demonstrated the ability stop EA. Artoria at her peak, can always beat or fight on par with a Gilgamesh who isn't going all out with EA. And with Avalon, she can even block a fully outputted EA blast, which she literally did so in the Fate route. You could argue that Gilgamesh was ignorant of Avalon, therefore costed him the victory, implying that if he was aware of Avalon, he could form a strategy around it and potentially pull a win somehow, and I would agree, but that's not the point. The point is, there is much of a contest. Artoria at her absolute best, can block Gilgamesh's strongest attack, and unlike with most other Servants, she is able to stand a chance at winning against a fully serious Gilgamesh, something that not even Karna can boast, as he himself stands 0% chance at beating a serious Gilgamesh, if EA and Enkidu are involved. It's worth noting that Excalibur is never at its strongest. Artoria has explained that there are many oaths that can boost or nerf Excalibur's power if met or broken. And for all the oaths to be met, would be a once in a lifetime occurrence. But to paint you a picture, Excalibur was once used to destroy a God-killing being that was ready to destroy the entire planet, alongside all of civilization, and in the process, it scorched a huge portion of the Earth's surface. So yeah, even though it's pointless to mention, as the chances of Excalibur being that powerful in a standard Holy Grail War are pretty much non-existent, Excalibur at its true peak goes a bit beyond just city scale and its standard A++ rank.

@@morsayxd Not at all, if anything the Deen adaptation nerfed him considerably, he's even more broken in the VN if you read it. As for Shirou the UBW anime wanked him off the face of the earth!(The deen movie was more accurate but still wanked him) In the VN all he did was activate UBW(he didn't even use Rho Ais, it took too much mana so Archer had to bail him out there) and then fought Gil in close combat while he was confused over the change in scenery. Gil didn't even try to use his Gate of Babylon until he realized that he was being pushed back slightly, and because of that he wanted to 'wipe this mongrel off the face of his pathetic world' so he brought out Ea. Though Ea took a while to actually come out, plus he hesitated in using it since he didn't want to honor Shirou with that kind of weapon. That moment of hesitation was all it took for Shirou to cut his arm off. And even then Shirou ran out of mana the second after he did that(he didn't slash him across the chest) and the grail + Archer had to finish the job. If you watch Zero this is even more apparent. Notice how Gil never once goes all out. Sure he gets pissed off by the mongrels around him(especially Berserker) but he never really faces them with his full power, only ever using Ea once against Rider out of respect. And in his 'fights'(they never really fought properly) with Artoria he just takes her down with a volley of weapons in seconds(Pretty sure the only reason this doesn't happen in FSN is because Saber gains experience in fighting him but that's just an assumption). In conclusion, Gil gets done dirty in pretty much all of his appearances, either they nerf him into oblivion(Most of FSN), or they change his personality completely(Caster version). It's honestly sad that the most accurate depiction of what Gil should be is in Carnival Phantasm.

Closest thing is garden of Avalon audio book which is short tales about Artoria’s reign from Merlin and some Knights of The Round Table. Very good and impressive, if you didn’t listen to it yet, def recommend.

We do not know the full Extended of Gate of Babylon.Holy grail it self belong to Gilgamesh gate of Babylon.In his Life time Gil Found the Immortality potion. When he sleep a snake took it.after gil wake up & he laugh out because a simple snake took the immortality from him when he is not care a bit about immortality & he is sleep.Gilgamesh is a Character how posses everything in the world & Do not desire a thing.Every desire of him is fulfilled. If we talk about origin code gil then amatetasu and saber shiki are stronger (maybe also venus nero) Gil is far from being the most powerfull hero, he is not even the strongest servant in fate

Gate of Babylon has the prototype of almost every Noble Phantasm, which includes Gae Bolg. Only certain Noble Phantasm like 11 Lives and Karna's spear cannot be used by Gilgamesh from the Gate.

God Hand is a representation and the embodiment of Heracles's greatest feat in life, and 9 Lives is a technique lol. Also you meant Vasavi Shakti. Excalibur and/or Avalon would have also been an easier example.

@@tronovonflidder775 9 Lives was originally a physical weapon against Phantasmals or smth. So Gil has the prototype of the bow Heracules killed the Hydra with, and it's not useless. But yeah, Herc himself has it as his feat and demonstration of greatest fighting prowness.

I wish FATE was real and I was collateral damage so I wouldn’t be alive to see the BS the world has come to….grandpa was lucky to only see the nation he almost died for in a golden age before he passed

Because the original source was a visual novel with three routes the story could go on, depending on the player's actions thus having three different endings. As far as squeals go there really isn't anything of the sort at the moment, the only series that can remotely pass as a squeal is fate/hollow ataraxia but even then it's technically not because it doesn't really cover what happens after fate/stay night, it's more like a side story than anything else. And as for the other Fate series they go more or less like this. Fate/Stay Night (Stay Night, Unlimited Blade Work, and Heaven's Feel)- Main story, three possible routes and endings. Fate/Zero - Prequel to Fate/Stay Night. Fate/Hollow Ataraxia - A epilogue side story more or less. Fate/Apocrypha - Spin off, alternate timeline. Fate/Extra - Spin off, alternate universe.
