Thank you for this cool tutorial! I didn't realize you can use a simple glue stick for applying gold leaf. I thought a special adhesive was required. Thank you.

I thought so, too, but after reading up on it, I realized that the special adhesive only seems to be necessary if you're gilding something "serious" -- think: a photo frame, table legs, etc.

Oi! O Brasil é o meu país favorito. Meu marido e eu viajamos de carro do Rio de Janeiro a Belo Horizonte durante duas semanas em 2016. (Estávamos lá para o casamento de uma boa amiga minha; ela é de Minas Gerais.) Um lugar lindo com pessoas maravilhosas. Meu marido é do Peru, e eu aprendi espanhol usando o Duolingo. Gold leaf is such a fun addition to a project. I love it even though it can be finnicky. Excited to hear more abou the book! Is it more project-based, instructional, workbook?

It's an instructional and project-based coffee table book! Appropriately, it will have gold foil embossed on the cover ... you know me. ;) I've been working on it for nearly a year with DK (Penguin/Random House). I know you're going to love it! Release date is in November of this year.
