@@stevenjm12 God, they would get FRIED nowadays. Mocking black accents. Making fun of them having a mission and talking about "the revolution". Pointing out that all the white people in the audience are dumbfounded, afraid to even look disapproving for fear of being seen as racist. Mocking Tupac's poor diction and English skills. Joking about Stevie Wonder's blindness, and how God can't be as great as Stevie says or he wouldn't have made Stevie blind.

I much prefer this Howard to the new one. The way he ripped the lid off to reveal the reality of these self-aggrandizing celebrities giving cliche’ acceptance speeches is pure gold. Even Stevie wonder, people watch him give these speeches and are all moved in shit, but when you hear it played back with Howard’s commentary, you really realize how absurd it actually is. This was when he did real-talk on his show.

Yeah Howard did a total 180. All of his defenders always claim "Well, he's older now man, he's evolved, we're in a different climate now..." all that BS. Howard could've been the one guy to stand up to all the Cancel Culture, Politically Correct non-sense we're dealing with now, but deep down inside Howard always wanted a seat at the cool kids table.

Howard has never been funnier then the occasions when he interviewed Gilbert. I laugh at Gilbert's comments a lot, but I laugh even more so at Howard's. His wry questions are wonderfully funny because he had the perfect foil in Gilbert. They made quite a team.

34:43 It was 1997 when Dave Coulier revealed that he strongly believed ‘You Oughta Know’ was about his past relationship with Morissette and admitted the lyrics hit very close to home. Especially the one about 'an older version of me' and bugging him ‘in the middle of dinner.' Bob Saget said in one interview that he was present when Morissette made that call during dinner. So this being in 1996, there was no way for Howard to know who the song was about. But I’m sure he and Gilbert would’ve gotten some good comedy out of knowing such a passionate and intense song was about Uncle Joey from Full House, aka Mr. ‘Cut…it…Out’ 😁
