The difference between him and the Lavar Ball situation is the ball brothers actually WANTED to be hoopers and get to the highest level and lavar gave them the guidance and push to get there. This guy looks more like he's forcing this on the kid and guarantee you by the time this kid is in HS he's gonna hate football.

People are comparing this to LaVar and his sons. But you can tell LaVar actually pushed his sons hard, and told them the truth, and they improved, leading to the confidence he had in them later on to the pros. It's well documented. He actually cared and disciplined his sons, unlike this guy who is just living through his son...

It's also pretty disturbing how this kid is being made to seem more adult than he is. Those podcast hosts shouldn't really be asking this kid about dating on their show. If seen some clips that allude to Baby Gronk being desired by grown women. There's a cringey clip with that gymnast from LSU, I think. None of that is ok. His dad seems like the type of parent who their kid would disown at some point once they recognize the abuse and have some agency.

Every kid will find out what they're special in at some point in their life, if the parents have to let them find what that is; while only guiding them when they need it. I have seen it in my profession time and time again, mostly track athletes. Their parents were D1 athletes, but did not make the Olympics. They are now pushing their child to make it to the Olympics, and it pushed them right into injury. When I would see them, they let it out. They hate to sport. The hate the competition and training it takes. They are only still doing it now to be able to go to school for free on an athletic scholarship. I treatment one for a torn hamstring, who was 16 at the time. She was very close to the Women's Olympic World Record in the 100m and she had no idea. When I told her, she didn't care. All her parents had her do is train. She ran year round. I had a talk with her parents about giving her a break throughout the year, because that over stress will lead to injury, but I told her it has to come from her. I heard through others who attended her school, she did earn a full ride to a D1 University. This was around 6 or 7 years ago so hopefully she is doing what she wants now. Parents have to let up. It's okay if you want to support your child through a sport, but allow them to find love for playing it on their own.

Lavar and the ball family were original. Their names became synonymous with clout because the only thing they did was promote their ACTUAL names and games. Say what you will, but Lamar knew how to both market and be a father/coach. He never did anything that his kids didn't want for themselves. Making your son gain clout off of a WHOLE PROFESSIONAL'S name not only places unreal expectations on him, but opens the door to the satire if he fails. The dad is litterly building this "reputation" on thin ice. All its gonna take is a few clips of this kid getting flattened by a few high schoolers and he's done. Its easy to run over 10 year olds when your a big 10 year old, how ever try doing that when all the people on the field have either caught up to or surpassed you in size. Lavar ball was different. Yes he was the driving force behind their fame and may have been trying to live vicariously through his kids, but they did have the talent to back up their dad's mouth. They also all wanted to play pro basketball as a career not be internet famous, so when they had to stand on their own against the NBA, they were able to hold their own in most cases and prove they weren't all hype and had skill

It's hella weird that these interviewers keep asking that little kid about grown women and thots on Instagram. He dont even care about girls right now and you can tell by his reactions. Why are they trying to groom that little boy

I don't think he's A bad dad, just trying to live too vicariously thru his son. Also, I think baby Gronk doesn't want to disappoint his dad, I say let him be a kid and have some fun
