What Gilbert explained on how he got started , is EXACTLY HOW GIANNIS BECAME THE PLAYER HE IS NOW ! WORK ETHIC , GOING TO THE GYM WORKING ON HIS BODY AND GAME . Giannis was a stick figure now he’s a monster due to his care to the game and what he wants in life. This is why rashad wasn’t successful in his career

Rashad is smoking something. Every player has a "narrative" of some sort. Kyrie had a narrative coming out of college (injuries). KD had a narrative (can his body hold up in the NBA?). the best players don't drop because their upside is worth any negatives that arise. some of the narratives are fair (Zion's weight). bol bol wasn't singled out or treated unfairly.

They need to remember that even though players have a limited time or just in the bench during games, they still had a chance to prove themselves during practice, if the work ethic is there if he is dominating the practices there is no reason for him to not play. But Bol looks like is not putting much effort.

I think Rashad's arguemnet was Bol Bol's minutes. Bol played only 7 games his rookie year, and 46 combined games the next two seasons, with a 5 MPG average. In Orlando, he played 70 games, started in 33, averaged 9 and 6 per in 21 MPG - that's about 15/10/2 per 36 mins. But yes, there are reasons for minutes played.

Rashad is high asf, he admits bol bol hasn’t changed but still can change, and thinks Bol Bol should be on the court after poor performances, and even if Bol Bol keep’s performing poorly he should get another chance because there’s room for him to grow. He’s acting like Bol Bol has been playing like Cam Thomas, Cam thomas had no fuckin opportunity even after dropping 45+ for 3 games in a row. Went right to the bench, but after that he got in again and kept showing out, unlike Bol Bol who gives you 9 and 5 after playing 25+ minutes per game through half of the season with the Magic. Rahsaan is on something, Gilbert had to work to get his minutes and consistently show out every time he stepped in that court, Rashaad giving Bol Bol excuses even tho he’s had his chance on the Magic and played Mid compared to his expectation and bro still thinks Bol Bol hasn’t gotten opportunity, than says stats don’t mean anything too 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦‍♂️

As erroneous as it is, I can see what Rashad is saying however, if someone is going thru something and they’re also underperforming, the result is that the job didn’t get done. It doesn’t always mean you can’t do the job but it at least says you can’t right now, which is different from writing someone off
