It is really hot right now and the Summer month in South India are not always easy.
But the abundance of pineapples from my permaculture garden make up for the heat, and I am so grateful to experience this time of all the delicious fruits that mother nature offers us.
Pineapples are one of my favourite fruits , and I continue planting all of the tops and shoots that I get every year!
love,
Sarah

thank you for showing the dramatic difference between store-bought industrial fruit and self-picked nature-made fruit.. such an important message and you present it so gently and hopeful. you got yourself some fans here hopefully we'll visit you & your plant friends one day!
I live in a desert and I grow some plants but it is very difficult here. The idea of being able to grow pineapple, banana, mango, all the wonderful fruits you have... it's like a fantasy from another world. I'm thankful for what I have of course.

This is my dream!!!! Having land and growing my own food!!!!
I love watching you in your garden. It's so productive, wild, and beautiful. It brings back memories of our garden in the Caribbean when I was a child. It was very similar to yours. We had an abundance of fresh fruits, bananas, and veggies. I still remember the taste of a freshly picked pineapple. The sweetness and the flavor can't be beaten.
I trying to move to a similar place & wish had the energy to grow my own fruit. Your videos are so pure and authentic!
That is amazing Sarah!!! I put a few pineapple tops in my garden and I know I have to wait a year or so for them to grow since they are store bought, your pineapples look delicious, thanks for sharing and look forward to the next video :)
I always look forward to your videos .. Many thanks for sharing ❤️

Amazing! So inspirational! 🙏💙
Hey girl I hope you are ok on your side of the earth Post a video so I can see what your beautiful forest looks like in the fall
I love planting pineapples too. Good thing my aunt gave me pineapple and red lady papaya seedlings. I love your videos.
You are so right to point out the “life force” of the homegrown fruit, the root difference was dramatic! Plus, no chemicals and more nutrient density if you look after your soil with mulch and compost, as you say, you need less food because you’re getting more of what you need in every mouthful. The more people grow their own, the better for them, their families, and the planet, no food miles in those pineapples. All the best to you Sara 🙏👌

Thank you so much ! It is my dream to encourage more people starting to grow their own food. We have ventured so far from growing and eating local foods. Even here in Auroville , where most residents could easily make a small garden , its not really happening !
south india hot humid climate is good for flowering and fruiting plants
Awesome thanks for sharing look delicious
Beautiful efforts and caring of plants.

Thank you Pavitra! you are welcome to visit one day!
You can just plant pineapple heads direct in the soil in South India... It's not really necessary to pre root them. It's their ideal climate they'll grow anyway. We just toss em out and they'll be growing like crazy
GIFTS OF SOUTH INDIAN SUMMER. Interesting and engaging video. I support your video. Watched the video July 15, 2022 very like. Thank you so much
Love this video 😍😍👌🏻👌🏻
Where I live I only get 40 inches a rainfall a year but we have a ton of wetlands since I live in missouri
Hello Sarah, Thanks for all that you do! :D Very important work! Really, really necessary. So lots of respect for you! Your videos are always ssooooo beautiful! It’s just that I’ve tried to kind of limit my media intake for the last few months and there is always so much to watch, listen to, read, etc., otherwise I would’ve watched way more of your videos. But they are really, really good! Respect on the filming and editing. And always really good content. I was having a look at your website. Looks nice. But I think it’s not finished yet, right? The ebook and contact parts are not showing. I hope you will survive the summer :P Enjoy your pineapples! They look gorgeous and delicious!!! It’s always ssoooooo hard to find good pineapples, even in the tropics :( So you’re very lucky growing them yourself! Here the monsoon has started since a few days so it’s getting way cooler now. Quite a nice temperature. But very wet :P Again thanks for all that you do! And please continue your work! May God Bless You!!! Only Love!!!

@@MyFoodForest You're welcome!! :D Good! Way better. Yeah, I understand. Do you do all the editing and shooting yourself? If so, then wow, you got some creative skills! Maybe you can make a donation possibility and then use that money to hire someone to do the editing. Then you only have to shoot, which will reduce the time and the screen time :D You already got quite a lot of subscribers. So it might work out over time :) Where in South India do you live? Thank you! :D
Hej Sarah, I was wondering if you had any major issues over the last years with overgrowth of a certain plant, insect, bird or monkeys that were "damaging" your crops/gifts so you kind of had to intervene. Sending love 💗🙏🏻
Awesome

Pineapples plants attract snakes 🐍 you should wear gum boots while attending to them. Of course all snake's are not poisonous. Anyways nice video! take care.
