I also love the idea of using the cut out piece from window as a card. especially being I love to allow the 1st graders who i am a teaching assistant for make gifts for there families for the holidays ... so every little trick to save on supplies and reuse is great being there are 20 this year :) also teaches them to recycle and reuse stuff as to throwing it away. I learned that you could make the box cut out on a 12" mat and just tape the 2 pieces together via one of the tabs. I also liked that you can use the piece that was punched from the middle into a gift tag. I also learned that to make the box you want to use heavy card stock with stronger tape to hold things in place. Thank you for sharing and reminding all of us to have fun while creating.
