Such a sweet show, good TV. Too bad they don't make them like this anymore. 📺
The real issue is that this awesome show only lasted a short time. Great show.

@@susannaCdonovan23Nevertheless, Sally Field’s career survived when a year after Gidget was canceled, ABC awarded her with The Flying Nun and the rest is history.
Gidget was on the air for only one season. It wasn't until the summer of 1966, when ABC had already decided to cancel the show and it was in summer reruns, that it became a ratings hit and Sally Field had become a TV star. That is why The Flying Nun came on the air a year later, in 1967.

Sally showing signs she would become a great actress, great enough to win an Academy Award and Judy before she became the Sock it to Me girl, I have see all the other Gidget episodes 3 or 4 times but I never seen this one before, what a treat

My friend, Bari, from highschool, took care of her father, too. Her mother woke her sometime, in the middle of a night, when she was 12, to tell her she was leaving, and taking her little brother; did she want to go?. She declined. In the morning, she wasn't quite sure where they'd gone, or when they'd be back. Over the course of the next day, she saw her mother and brother's things were gone, and came to the conclusion they were gone, gone.
