sometimes humans like to kill off some of the important animals and deal with the problems themselves like as if they are always the hero

God I hate those damned crown of thorns while diving...

imagine if they started moving on land

just collect the COTS dry em up and sell them to tourists!! it pays for itself

Funnily enough, COTS are poisonous, venemous and toxic. Three different modes of delivering a toxin. Toxic if eaten (to some animals). Venemous, as in, can invenimate if spiked. And poisonous, as in, can secrete a poison if harassed. The main toxin in all cases is plancitoxin, a type of saponin, which is a haemolytic (pops red bloods cells), very potent against fish.

They are both venomous AND poisonous, hence why no animal eats them except the triton
