GIANT Striped Bass! Catch Clean Cook! (Multiple New PB Fish on Live Eels)-New England pt.3

Спорт

This is a video I have been wanting to make for a long time!!! Striped bass aka stripers are something I have always dreamed of catching and I broke my PB multiple times in one night while eel fishing in Massachusetts! My buddy Kevin hit me up on Instagram and put me on an epic fishing night i'll never forget! We caught over 10 fish over 40in and I caught my personal best striper at 48in!! Enjoy this catch clean cook!

Man I must just terrible luck with fishing I had a guide take us on the canal last weekend and we never caught any thing. Never mentioned that the eels were being hit at all we through plugs and sp minowws. Plus a storm came through the start of the weekend. I drove all the way from Maryland. Very unsuccessful trip. Glad you were able to find some one who could put on some fish.

Landshark Outdoors happy for u!! I live in north jersey and that’s the trophy fish on this region. You don’t have to place the rod butt between ya legs tho lmao. I stick the end of the rod butt on my belt line or the front of my thigh. Stripers don’t fight that hard really

Just a little tip of advice from a Massachusetts striper fisherman that fishes every single weekend from March to October you have to cut the red meat on the backside of the skin off it makes the fish taste so much better

You hit a great night during the fall run. You can take 100 trips to the canal and only catch 5-10 times out of all of the trips. The best part of the canal is your a lot more likely to catch big fish in the canal. I fish as much as I can for striped bass around 100-150 trips a season and take my trips to the canal based on moon phases times of the year and tides. There are many more places to catch them with higher probability but if you want a large striper from shore that’s the place. It took me 3 seasons to learn the canal a bit and start catching there. I went hundreds of times before I caught my first fish because it can be a very tough place to fish. I am glad you went on a great night during our fall run. Thank you for the videos

Stripers are not that picky, they will eat a lot of bait. My first catch was on sand crabs on a high/low rig in the surf, 16" undersized. They obviously will eat live bait, but will eat cut bait as well all day.

@@LandsharkOutdoors This is where I go and I fish off the dock, they call it a river, but it's only a island and open ocean on the other side. You can see thousands coming through in July around the 4th which is the first major run. I found this spot because we happened to get a camp site back in the 90's, but they were rooms I took (shacks) Little River Camp, but doable someone else bought it out, but there's pubic fishing and I also caught a colossal sized shrimp that measured 12 inches plus many lobsters and crabs, you would love it. The fight is insane and you have to cut out the bloodline as soon as you catch them, then they are not overrated and like you said, the smaller ones taste better. Want lobsters? Park on the peer down the road in Rockport Bearskin Neck Cape Ann (On the down low) use stew beef and net them as soon as you can see them, not legal, but great and I caught a dozen perfect sized off one piece of beef right off the dock. Thanks for the shout-out... \m/ www.google.com/search?q=annisquam+ma&sxsrf=ACYBGNQ70wVvnP1AW3bD3GLnzXTRSO4ZGw:1571501909064&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=dVYJivxykzoSlM%253A%252CvSXY2lcEleCmGM%252C%252Fm%252F03q61x&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kRrEb1fIMh7_h-hKuDqemTvfhBFUg&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjTw7bo3KjlAhWBm-AKHVCLCGYQ_B0wFHoECAoQAw#imgrc=dVYJivxykzoSlM:

The best tasting fish in New England is Sea Robin... best by far! Striper tastes like Mud compared to Sea Robin! The second best fish behind Sea Robin is Dogfish. Both are considered trash fish, but taste way better than Striper. By the way, I'll give you some super secret information... most locals don't like Striped Bass because it is so bland and tasteless compared to other fish that are better tasting!

$25 per lb Striper tastes like $5 per lb chicken.. They all say it with a big grin. Something ain't right here.. that and there's nothing hanging on the walls at Brook & Vick's.

Nice night of striper fishing, wtg! You were right to keep the small one for the table, The big ones are for the pictures. It depends on who you ask but I'd say it's a toss up between Tog and Black Sea Bass for the best food fish in the northeast. I'm enjoying this series, it looks like you are too.

Awesome video dude! The canal is certainly a place of dreams! Was wondering what rod you were using for eeling the canal? Looked like it handled those bass real well in the current.
