GIANT PURPLE JELLYFISH: STYGIOMEDUSA GIGANTEA

This one you have to see to believe. It’s an incredibly large jellyfish known as Stygiomedusa gigantea. Dr. Mark Benfield with the Serpent Project has encountered this amazing creature numerous times through ROV exploration of the deep sea.

    The format is getting better and better ma, you're definitely starting to find the balance between talking in front of the camera and just commenting the pictures. Feels a lot better to watch this now, way less cringy. Keep it up!

    Great video as always. May I suggest you to talk about comerson's dolphin? It's not newly discovered but it is awesome-looking and relatively unknown.

    Great videos good amount of detail in them and good production value. I've subbed :) More information would always be really cool though but I guess if we don't know that much about the animal then you can't say much.

    NARKISDUDE Gulf of Mexico. I believe the Arctic is the only area they have not been found.

    NARKISDUDE Yeah, "ice cold" wasn't very scientific haha. They seem to stay in waters between -0.9 to 4.0 degrees Celsius.
