@@BluegabeArrington did someone tell you yet that a roux is a step in french and Cajun cooking that you take the fat and the starch and fry it and before you add your cream or water that's a roux ..but most Cajun dishes start with a deep roux so when they make the sauce or gravy or whatever is the liquid part of the dish it has a rich constant taste ..but gravy is still gravy and sauce is sauce in Louisiana

I hope you took out the gland on the back of the neck that really messes up the meat.. nutria is one of the best meats around especially grilled very tender.

Blue Gabe, the more I watch your videos, the more I enjoy them. The ones that you make with your children and other children are the most enjoyable. I was fortunate growing up to have Uncles that loved the outdoors as you do. I grew up hunting, fishing and trapping. Keep up the good work. You remind me of the best time of my life.

We cook Nutria and all we do is put it in a aluminum pan with onions, garlic, bell peppers, and a beer in it and slow cook it on the grill

Once you get use to using a gas stove you will never want another electric one. They cook soooo much better

Roux is the step before you make gravy the flour and fat fried together makes a roux...once you add water or cream you have a sauce or a gravy ..it's same in Louisiana as in France or Quebec ..

Darn Fancy Galaxy phone messed up my last text BlueGabe. I had texted how nice it would be for my Sweethesrt, Sherry & Kelly get some "OJT" Time, since she has no experience in & under the ocean. My uncle had a nutria farm for fur which was sold to Russia, but he made a delicious sausage from the meat.
That house looks awesome.
When I was a kid , I loved to go stay with my Mamaw and Papaw . He would kill a Ground Hog out of their Garden , seemed like every week . My Mamaw would put the cut up pieces in pressure cooker ( this was probably 25-30 yrs before electric Instapot types came out ) and would pressure it for maybe 30 min ? . Then she would put the pieces in her biggest cast iron frying pan and after seasoning w salt and lots of black pepper would bake them crispy . It tasted better than any beef roast you have ever eaten !
