That was a fun video! Thank you for Sharing!! One of my fav YT's (Andy's Fishing) does this type of fishing in North East NQL. Rivers, Islands, Camping etc, Jacks, Cods, Barramundis, Coral Trout. Tuna on Fly woot woot! But, he has to deal with Crocks though... not the shoe. BTW I'm fascinated watching you do the rock climbing to fish. Please share more if you can. Thanks again!

Those midges were definitely bad. I know that feeling they'll nearly make you lose your mind and you'd do anything to get away from them. Interior dialogue: Why can't I move the boat? Try the oar as a lever. Best not, I might need that later. Could be all the stuff yeah? Yeah could be or maybe pull the drain plug first since it rained all night. Brilliant!

  • @gidosfishingadventures

2 fish on one lure, and a fish off the rod tip (almost 2), pretty cool. They were some stoinka crabs just walking right up to you! Why crawl through the mangroves 🙂. Camped that close to mangroves you will get hammered by midgies, specially with no sun. Midgies dehydrate really quick in direct sun so they hang out in the shade of the mangroves most of the time and they can’t travel far. If you camp at least a few hundred metres from mangroves will be a lot less.

You use an oar as a roller. Put the oar down on the ground in front of the dingy, lift the front and push the oar under the keel wi' ya foot, put the other one a third of a boat length in front of that one. Go to the back and push the dingy so it slides across them. Rinse and repeat until you get to the water. Beats waiting for the tide to come in with the sandflies eating you.

Why not use some climbing gear to get the boat back in the water? Latch onto a rock face out in the water and use a pulley system or one of your ascent rigs. Pull the boat back in. Off ya go with your lower vertebrae the same distance away from each other when you started...
