Australia's most prestigious giant scale model plane event is the Mammoth Scale Fly In held at the Valley Radio Flyers club in Shepparton. This year was the 40th running of the event so we thought we would once again take a visit and see what was going on and if we could maybe...steal...a plane... or two!

It would have been nice to have listened to the roar of the Moki400 in the DR1 instead of the dinky music.

Right on ! With all that great filming and still model viewing the very best of it all is to HEAR the cherry on top of the cupcake - at least a little bit when they fly by. . . I hated to give this one of the first thumbs down but I would love to see and hear the flying motors instead of watching someone eating - with no music playing?

Used to go there many years ago, amazing toy planes but few could fly them properly! Most had no idea!

I love the sound of the model's powerplants but couldn't enjoy them the music was very annoying, just my opinion.
Was that a hamburger or a vegemite sandwich?
Its the same with full size àircraft shows crappy music when we want to hear the a/c engine noise

Not really sure. No one is really mass producing any of them. That might change shortly based on a chat I recently had. Time will tell.

So glad we didn't have to listen to the hideous sound of the Moki 400, we had that wonderful music instead.🤣
