Giant Matchbox Superfast Collection - Video No.134 - July 27th, 2016 - every so often I get an opportunity to buy a Superfast Matchbox collection and I do it! These models are from the late 60's to the early 80's and all mint in the original boxes. Sit back and realx and watch as I quickly unpack them and go over the models included in the collection. Thanks for watching and be sure to give me a thumbs up and subscribe too. I hope you all realise out there that lots of fakes come from China if you can still smell the paint on the cardboard box they are new reproductions for chumps who weren’t around in the 70s so can’t tell the difference from the real McCoy . I wouldn’t purchase anything in this kind of bulk serious collectors of the real deal 1970s models just would not sell This kind of quantity to anyone Some newer fakes are coming in in slightly aged older looking boxes 😂🇬🇧

I've not had any issues with Matchbox fakes, I thing they are just not in demand or valuable enough to fake. Hot Wheels Redlines on the other hand there are tons of fakes on eBay. Once in a while a collection of Hot Wheels will have a fake if the collector bought more recently rather than having a childhood collection. I can spot them a mile away. I've been a full time collector / dealer since the late 80's. Actually part time 1988 to 1993 then full time since. The early 90's were so sweet when private parties had no idea what collectors were paying for Redlines. Once I realized that the toy business was perfect for my personality and skills I dove in big time. I even went back to college locally for 4 years from 1995 to 1999. While there I wrote a paper for business class about the toy business and the guy sitting next to me said his dad was a Shell Tanker driver and they had a box of Redlines at home. They had 50 Redline Blister Packs including a Green 1970 442. I probably made enough off buying those Redlines to pay for the 4 years of part time classes. Graduated 4.0 with accounting degree. Thought I would move on from collecting but I just never did. My wife did though…she hated it. Took a long time to find a nice gal who did not mind the collecting. 1998 to 2007 actually. All is well now and the collecting continues.

I would be more wary of paying thousands of dollars for rare variations after seeing what they can do with restorations on You tube.
I am very great watching your videos from 2018 I am toycar collector from 1968 matchbox hotwheels tootsytoys made in USA Im playing many times with them ccongratulations for your program on youtube

what a fantastic collection Dave they make me feel 10 all over again. Love watching your video's. Geoff Liverpool UK
That is one of the most impressive collections of Matchbox I've every seen. It must have cost you a fortune! I wanted close-ups of every single car, no matter how long the video is. lol Thanks for sharing it with us.
Loved the video as usual Dave. Watched it from start to finish and to be honest I love Matchbox just as much as H.Wheels so I would of loved to of seen all those mint cars and not just the boxes .thumbs up as usual thou 😎Geoff UK
really great to see all these
The 'Hot Rocker' is actually a Ford Capri with a modified engine. These Superfast boxed cars are a dream for every Matchbox collector. And in mint condition! Will you be selling them in your site? Although i won't be eager to see the prices if you do!
29:03 I still have my Y-9 1912 Simplex and the Y-2 1914 Prince Henry Vauxhaul which is the maroon MOY with the silver hood, and the RR Silver Ghost. I got all 3 plus a green ‘45 MGTD all at the same time ca: 1979 or 1980. I also had the Tonka Lowboy and Dozer.
Brilliant . So jealous. What a great collection. can I buy some .
All I can say is wow.
Nice Matchbox additions. I see you are using a normal box opening knife in this video. That Finger Twine knife looked a little dangerous. I noticed you almost cut your thumb a few times with it.
Wawwww perfect collection congratulation
You Have 1914 sunbaem Motorcycle model of yesteryears?
20:09 the box for that one was with the empty boxes
Excelente coleção o senhor tem!
Lol i had one of them silver shell trucks. Corgi were very popular in the UK.
I loved the purple Pontiac coupe. I had quite a few as a kid but they get broken with playing with them .I managed to pick one up non boxed but in clean condition , apparently they are fetching quite a price now. I collect things I remember from my childhood. stuff my mother and father couldn't afford to buy my bless them .they were great parents but we were quite poor . I love the jeep wagoneers and pick ups so I started collecting them in various conditions a few years back . there now getting really hard to find I suppose most ended up rotting away in sand boxes and garages. great memories .
David will you lower the prices on the cars in the what's new category to $2 or more?

You have to go to the store to find $2 cars. The cars I have are usually at least 35 years old and can be very expensive. Thanks for watching my videos.

+ToyCarCollector.com do you plan on putting the cars on the website because I always go on the website?

Most cars end up there. I like to add new cars to my collection and then take other cars out to sell. For this collection I will dip in to it and add a dozen models to the web site every week. My main thing of course are Redline Hot Wheels so Redlines are the priority. Lately I have been too busy filling orders so not as much time to add as I would like.

How about 1967 hotwheels?

Do you have the original boxes? The boxes are scarce but the models are common.
Your manuality is zero! You must have a little more care with models and unboxing...
