I love this! Aquarium gravel comes in a surprising number of colors, including some fluorescent and glow-in-the dark colors. It's the same with sand. Though not as pocketbook friendly, there is an amazing assortment of aquarium decor that could be used in resin dioramas. But a word of caution. Sand and gravel have sharp edges and could cut or abrade the inner surface of your mold, so that getting a crystal clear pour after using either of these may not be an option.
