I used to be a cashier at Costco. A lady was buying a 2nd can if lump crab. She told me she didn't know it had to be refrigerated. She had it in her pantry for a couple of weeks. The worst part of this story..she opened it..dear Lord. She tried to describe the smell let alone the mess. Every time I see you getting crabs that is what I think of. All I could so was laugh. Poor lady. Love your videos Gabe and have for a long time. Take care and be safe. Love to you and your family

I remember crabbing/shrimping the St John’s my whole childhood. If your catching crabs in Fresh water, your way beyond Palatka. We always called it brackish water 50/50. 😁 Great video B.G and Ol Tug does a good job too.

You need a hook pole for grabbing them buoys! I also recommend putting a vertical dump door on the traps so you don't have to shake them into the top parlor and out of the seem. You just open the door and dump all out. I use to run 100 commercial traps and shaking the crabs is much easier with a door that opens into the bottom and the top parlor.

Gabe i agree with you on cilantro , but the yellow mustard in crabs is the best. But then again im from the easternshore of Maryland. Only yankees pull the shells off and wash the guts off crabs.

I am from Maryland as well but live in GA. I love the mustard and I eat my crabs hot and whole. I would never peel the crab shells off and run water to clean them out.... That is crazy to watch.... You are washing all the Old Bay Seasoning off....

I’ve always cleaned my crabs before I cook them. You did teach me one thing though. You taught me to ice the crabs, I wish I knew that trick.

I do have to say I was in florida bought a trap put in in shollow water while I was fishing from a bay only caught 4 crabs they were all like 8 +inches never seem anything like that before we're I am from up north big is like 5 inches haha
