What I love about Malamutes is that the go from being tiny teddy bears to giant ones. They look so floofy and ready for a cuddle!

Yes big is right...my Malamute, Harley is about 150lbs!! A great big moose...a sweetheart and a butthead at the same time lol...he's definitely mamma's baby...follows me everywhere :-)

Dank Memer First I do not live in those countries and second their are people that are going to great length to get this abolished. That one in particular is beyond sick, this isn't because they are in need for food for them this is an extremely expensive delicacy that they do, even their own country is trying to put a stop to it. Try watching 1 video and if you are human and actually have a heart you will want to vomit and cry. This is a torture ring!!

Malas need good social training to keep them chill with other dogs/animals. Usually it's starting while young and goes on thru life.. Rescues often have this issue. Which can affect them being adopted. Not many want to deal with a dog that will attack other dogs without food even being involved. Im glad this lady takes care of her puppiers! And really looks into the future owners to protect the pups well-being.

We used to have a malamute. Wonderful dogs for sure. Our Stormey passed away years ago, and we miss her still.

I love Animal Watch! I saw the episode where Lorna and her Malamutes were visited. This was very special to go back and see the babies. I appreciate Lorna's honesty that these dogs are not for everybody. And it isn't the dog, it is the owners. People purchase dogs as they would a handbag or stylish shoes, when they should be adopting these beautiful creatures into their families and that means researching what these dogs need. I have learned so much from Animal Watch. These episodes are so educational, but also really entertaining.

I thought that large breed pups shouldn’t get too much calcium to prevent the bones from growing too rapidly at a young age and having health problems later on.

You need to give them a 10 mile run every day... And train them from puppyhood or they will become unruly and will misbehave alot. They are not for apartments they need alot of excersize

Maybe it’s the breeder they don’t agree with her saying if she knows the person then the client can select their own puppy. However if she doesn’t know you personally she selects the puppy for you . I don’t agree , I think the owner should select their own puppy. They both have to bond . It’s important to remember , a puppy is for life . It will become a family member therefore you must love ‘that’ puppy. I have met a few breeders in my time . I don’t agree nor do a like that attitude . If I were to purchase my life time companion I’d be sure I done my homework first .

Four weeks old and already with the judgemental expressions!! Gawd, do I love these babies.

Gorgeous! I had a female 40 kg Alaskan Malamute for almost 17 years. A truly fabulous and amazing animal. Naturally, she was a house dog , but I took her out for a walk or trot daily for 4or 5 miles. She was off lead if we were hiking in the woods (a wonderful hunter), but always on lead otherwise. We avoided other dogs because they would usually try to attack. She was a very a dominant dog who demanded other dogs to show proper submission.

I AM TRULY ENVIOUS OMG 😢😢😢 you'll never be sad with these CUTE animals around you...

After our boy Loki passed away from cancer, we thought about bringing some love back into the house and we got a Giant Alaskan Malamute. He's 2 now and still growing!

Once had a litter of 7 mal pups was an amazing time always excited to get home after school to play with the puppers. Miss them so much to this day.

They look so much like toys 🧸 they're so cute ❤

I totally agree with you and the breeder, you have got to do your homework on the breed, Malamutes need a lot of attention and hard work, I would advise do not get one just because they look so cute as a puppy, ask yourself questions before you even go and see them, what sort of environment you live in, town city, or countryside big house with a big garden, a small house small garden, flat and a window box, out working all day, home all day, children, the age of, other pets, and last but not least cost of keeping them, food, vet fees they have all to be considered. By the way, Anneka how is your war wounds sustained from your female wolfdogs, I don't think you will make that mistake again in a hurry, remember what I said about using a small fire extinguisher to separate fighting dogs, or very aggressive dogs.

Especially if you're in the city or live in a confined space like an apt or townhouse where you share walls with other people. Who may not necessarily be dog friendly. And their long term grooming & health care. The coat! Regardless of whether long v. short hair that's a daily chore to maintain. The shedding & blizzard in your care lmao. Anyhow, they're a strong, independent and beautiful breed. But have to admit, I'm prejudicial for German Shepherd Dogs :)

Oh what gorgeous little cuddle bears. So floofy and cute. I love their fluffy round heads, little fat feet and little round tumtums. But most of all I think the advice given on here is top notch and absolutely vital. It's imperative, when buying any breed of dog, to do your research, make sure you have enough space and time for your dog, and that you get he or she from a reputable breeder or rescue centre. Malamutes are extra special however, and should be treated as such. They're a little hard to train, but easier than Huskies. Thanks to you and Lorna for the vital info. And of course for all those gorgeous little cuddle puffs! Cannot believe they are that big at just 4 weeks! Their Mum by the way is very beautiful. Thanks for posting this lovely video. 👍😊
