Giant abandoned toy truck restoration
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I bought this truck at a flea market. I noticed it because of its size - it was giant.
It was rusty, crooked, cracked, and lacked two wheels headlights.
First, I completely disassembled and washed it with soapy water.
Then I applied a stripper and peeled off the old paint.
After that, I sandblasted all the parts and aligned the bumps.
I leveled the booth and welded the cracks in the back of the booth. It turned out to be difficult because the metal was very thin and I did not have a semiautomatic welding machine at hand. I welded it with an electrode. Then I soldered the cracks with a tin.
I sanded the surfaces with applied putty, primer and painted all.
I made a new back door from the tin.
As a pair of wheels was missing, I had to re-create them. Using the old wheel, I made a mold out of silicone. I made the wheel itself from liquid polyurethane.
At first, I tried to make new headlights using a 3D pen. But it turned out not very nice. Then I made a mold for the headlight from silicone and made the headlight from hot glue. I made headlights with built-in LEDs. I also added a USB charging circuit voltage controller and radio control.

Apparently it had some Elephant dung left in the back. Hahahaha
This restoration of this truck is rally beautiful. Fantastic the way you make the missing tires. Next time add a dye (black). The new headlights have no texture. I think the mold should be shaped differently.
DAMN i love the hotglue lights idea

I'm glad you like it
wow.awsome! love the headlites.
Now this is legit restoration. Not like these other guys who smear mud on perfectly good bikes and act like they restored them.
It turned out very nice
I _love_ all of the different techniques applied -- welding, soldering, moulding the tires, fabricating the rear door, the new headlights, etc. Amazing work! It looks like someone was very happy with her fully restored toy.

Paint shouldn't come off like that you may want to get some lead paint test strips
