In Europe usually when there is some form of record, the officals tend to take the ball and place it in a nice lil luxurty type of bag. Not sure why the NBA hasn't done that yet.

Pacers salty they lost, took the gameball then realised that they actually took the reserve ball. Giannis thought they took the gameball and went after them. Later they realised a Bucks employee got the gameball at the end of the game 😂

Lower tier achievements can take home the backup balls. S-Tier: Finals MVP, Top 10 or above all-time in a single stat, 50+ pts career high game, final career game (must be notable or beloved player lol) A-Tier: 50+ pts game, Franchise record for pts or combo of stats (20 pts, 20 assists) B-Tier: First ever career points (rookie), 30+ pts career high game Those are just some examples i could think of lol. But that Pacers rookie should NOT have taken precedence over Giannis and Dame's achivements this game

@@Peacekeepa317 Yeah I've seen it, though I'd hardly call that proof, since the footage doesn't show what happened to it after the Bucks staff grabbed it from the ref and gave it to another staff. You can't rule out that the Pacers somehow got a hold of it after the footage ends. On top of that, there's also footage of a Pacers assistant coach holding what appears to be the game ball, and then walking away with a smirk while Giannis yells and points at him, eventually chasing him down the tunnel moments later. Now, there is a chance that the Pacers asst coach was holding a reserve ball, but regardless of whether he and the Pacers knew it or not, they acted like it was the game ball and even taunted Giannis in front of his face. There's even footage in the tunnel with audio of the Pacers players telling their staff to keep it and don't give it to Giannis. So it was straight pettiness from the Pacers after the game, regardless of who had the actual ball. And for them to justify taking it for their rookie over Giannis and Dame, on Bucks home court, is a bitch move.

But it's more than just a ball. In sports, the game ball is usually handed out to a player when they have such an incredible performance. It serves as a memento. An object they can hold onto so they can remember one of their greatest moments in their career. Imagine if you were at the Oscars and you won best actor but you weren't actually given the actual Oscar. You'd be upset. Giannis broke the franchise record of points scored in a game. Not only that, but the Bucks played in their own city of Milwaukee and won the game. You have to understand Giannis's frustrations because what if this doesn't happen again in his career? Who knows what could happen. The game ball represents his best performance in his career but the Pacers aren't letting him have it.

This is Bucks home court. Bucks should have more say on the ball
