Yes I did meet Gianni Versace when I was 8 my mom took me to his fashion show in the 90s Gianni never said he was gay in the Advocate magazine he just said he had a boyfriend. But Gianni also had tons of girlfriends too ... so the truth is Gianni Versace was bisexual. And even when he had a boyfriend Gianni was still always flirting and kissing on women lol I personally think Gianni Versace was sexy so I guess thats why my video of him is so sexy.

@@queenoffashion3261 I think Santo was saying it's not really correct to say that Gianni was gay because the word gay implies that Gianni was only attracted to men and Santo was saying that's not true because Gianni had so many women who he loved -- his girlfriends, his fiance, his mother, his sister, his models -- Santo was saying that Gianni loved women and I really hope people can see that in my video.

Gianni Versace is actually my favorite fashion designer. And yes, the 90s was a big era for the real supermodels and before this Gianni worked with the 80s supermodels too, so he loved them, and he paid these girls tons of money. 😂😂😂 Linda Evangelista is quoted as saying, "We don't get out of bed for less than 10,000 dollars a day," And it was Gianni Versace who was paying models that kind of money, he once paid Christy Turlington 50,000 thousand dollars to be in his fashion show. Honestly it is sad that Gianni left us too soon, but Donatella is still honouring his legacy and the Versace brand is still popular and famous today, so I'm sure Gianni would be proud. ❤️

No, it's not just you. Gianni Versace actually was a gentleman with women. In fact when Gianni died even Naomi Campbell herself said, *"I just felt like he treated me as a woman... with a lot of respect."* Gianni Versace loved women, respected women, and he was a true gentleman.

When Gianni was murdered. In an interview a crying Naomi Campbell was asked, _"How do you hope the world will remember him?"_ Through her tears, Naomi is quoted as saying, *"I don't know.... Just that he was a great person. He was a true genius. He loved what he did. He loved designing. He loved putting on great shows. He loved treating people generously. He loved being happy and wanting people around him to be happy."* I had a fun time making this video and seeing Gianni's bright happy smile and spreading happiness and love. Gianni's sudden murder is a tragedy. But Gianni would not want us to focus on the ugliness in life. Gianni would want us to focus on the beauty that he brought to the world.

Firespawn I agree. You know, Tupac Shakur, through his music, use to honor the genius of Versace. Being an avid historian, the fact that both men shared mutual respect and admiration for Gianni's aesthetic, makes me also look at the blaring simular (not to mention) cruelty of fate that both men shared in less than a year (within their deaths). I ABHOR gun violence! Through my tears, I noticed that the primary focus of both of them is their tremendous appreciation for life!!!! My son, who is almost the same age as Tupac when he passed, told me about their respect for each other and I didn't realize the extent that one of hip-hop music's legends was Gianni's muse, and appears in countless pictures of Tupac, where he is often adorned in Gianni Versace from head to toe. I love that. Unfortunately, the media was too busy dispensing lies about a young man who had an eye for beauty, above all else. Thank you. 🙏🏾

So Gianni really connected with musicians he was friends with so many musicians like Elton John, Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Courtney Love, the list goes on and on. Gianni was actually a fan of Tupac. Not with just his music. Gianni also had a bit of a crush on Tupac. Gianni is quoted as saying, *"Tupac is the most beautiful man."* Gianni also invited Tupac to come to Italy and perform a song at his Versace fashion show. If you clicked on my video for Yasmeen Ghauri she's at 8:20 It's one of my favorite clips in my video because it is very rare to see Gianni walking with Yasmeen Usually Gianni would choose to walk with Naomi, Christy, or Linda. But that's the only clip I found of Gianni walking with Yasmeen. Yasmeen looked so happy to have Gianni beside her for a change lol Because Gianni would hire Yasmeen to do a lot of his shows but when he came out Gianni would not pay attention to Yasmeen. This was the one show I could find where Gianni actually paid attention to Yasmeen. But Yasmeen is one of my favorite Versace girls so I had to include her in this video. But this is the only clip I could find of Yasmeen with Gianni. So it became obvious when I was making this video that Gianni had favorites lol I dont think Yasmeen was one of Gianni's most favorite models. Gianni seemed to like Naomi, Christy, and Linda the best. But I do think that Gianni liked Yasmeen a lot because Gianni kept hiring Yasmeen to do his Versace shows year after year. I also think maybe Gianni wanted to walk with Yasmeen but he knew how much Yasmeen was uncomfortable being in the spotlight. So maybe he was respecting her wishes by not walking with her on the runway. Also Gianni could have been the designer who was convincing Yasmeen to model for him each year. Because I always found it interesting that Yasmeen quit modeling in the exact same year that Gianni was killed.

@@pops1601 I don't think Yasmeen was demure because if she was demure then she would not have been attracted to modeling, she even said that she went against her parents and their Muslim religion just to pursue her modelling career, so she was very passionate about modeling. But no she didn't crave the limelight she actually didn't like to go to the modeling events or the parties, she just showed up to work, did her job, and went home. But Naomi Campbell said that Yasmeen Ghauri was the best walker. 😁

Yeah, I remember seeing that on Donatella's post but honestly I didn't think much about Gianni saying Naomi was beautiful and Naomi is the Medusa, because I know Gianni also said Kirsty Hume is beautiful like a modern day Princess Grace Kelly, and Gianni also said Yasmeen Ghauri had the face of an angel and the body of a goddess. Gianni made comments like that about all his models because Gianni thought all of his models were beautiful, and of course he was right.

Gianni was the founder of the supermodel movement ! He pushed those girls into the spotlight. They all had exceptional looks and unbelievable walks (some more than others hehe). I love this video and how much Gianni loved his work and women. You get the sense that there was a lot more going on we don't see. Although around that era designers were like these God like men and it wasn't just Versace I've seen interviews like one with Azadeen Alia and Stephanie Seymour where these supermodels are mesmerized by these designers and hanging on to his every word and at one point finished HIS sentence to reporters for him. And I watch Gianni's finales very closely and I really wonder what the hell Linda Evangelista was really saying in his ear at the end of shows.

Yeah, this was back in the 90s so it was a different time when fashion designers were like Gods and the supermodels were like Goddesses 😅 They had an artist and muse relationship and were very close but that type of dynamic really doesn't exist anymore because the fashion world is so different now and the new designers and new models are nothing compared to the 90s. 😂

Versace, was able to get the "supermodels ", because the Versace company was making a lot of money. Designers who used the "supers", had to have super bankaccounts. The models fees were astronomical back then because the agencies saw a way too get the.most for the models and for themselves. It's not SHADY it's just business. Remember fashion is a very costly industry, every stitch of any garment costs, and you pay for it.

It was Donatella who did the casting. Gianni didnt like Kate much and he had her cancelled in the last minute many times. Kate is not arrogant about being a model in fact she is very insecure about it. Because Kate knows that she was considered to NOT be model material. People said Kate was too short, too skinny, and not beautiful enough to be a model. Gianni was one of the few designers who actually supported Kate as a runway model. That's why Kate loved Gianni so much. Because he truly believed in her and he loved her. You can see it even in this video, Gianni adored Kate, and Kate was happy he supported her. So obviously Kate knows that she did need Gianni Because if Kate didn't have Gianni Versace supporting her like he did in the 90s...Kate would have never become such a successful runway model that she is today. It is because of Gianni Versace that Kate Moss is now considered to be a supermodel. So of course, Kate would want to give tribute to Gianni for that. But Donatella did not choose Kate Moss to be apart of Gianni's tribute. And Kate was NOT the only girl who did not get to pay tribute to Gianni. Almost all of Gianni's girls did NOT pay tribute to Gianni last year. Do you have any idea how many girls Gianni had? TONS Gianni had tons of girls from the 90s and then Gianni had tons of girls from the 80s. Gianni had wayyy too many girls so obviously Donatella couldn't put them all in 1 tribute. That's why Donatella only chose the Top 5 supermodels of the 90s. No, Gianni was still alive in 1997. But that was the year he died. July 15, 1997 to be exact.

I'm not a stan but it looked like Naomi was one of the top favorite if not The favorite. She was one of the closest to him. They were friends. He respected her. As a black woman back then in the fashion industry, it was hard for Naomi, he took her under his wings and promoted her. Freshly after his death it was Naomi that did a Katie Couric interview, the host even said Naomi was his favorite, Naomi cried her heart out during the whole interview. She had known him for 11 years.

@@neslynfrederic659 That's reaching imo. I could argue that Christy was better favored because it was her who introduced Naomi to Gianni, and she had been the more prominent face in his campaigns. But I wouldn't claim such a thing. If there's a designer whom I could point out where Naomi was the most favored muse, it would be Alaia not Gianni.
