Honestly I’d rather see him in other kinds of roles. It seems like since breaking bad he’s just been typecast as the intimidating, calculating, genius villain, which is obviously a role he plays well but it gets a little old seeing him essentially just play Gus Fring in everything he’s in

I love that take on why he plays villains. Doesn't even have to think about it. "Because it's fun." The man has all the chill.

I’m with him completely on that one lol. I remember when my friends and I were kids and we would act out imaginary stories as superheroes or knights or whatever. Somehow I always ended up as the villain and I was pretty sick with it. One time I asked to see what it would be like to play one of the heroes, and my other friend played the villain, he accidentally collided into one of us during a “fight” scene and literally fell over on his own. Absolutely terrible villain actor lol. I went back to being the villain cuz it was boring playing as one of the heroes. I mean the villain sets the stage and MAKES the story. I think they’re inherently more fun

Love how you can tell someone the most harmless creature ever when they play so diabolical characters

I love how he can switch from his natural jokester self (which actually shocked me, with how playful he really is) to someone entirely deadpan serious and intimidating on a switch. That takes some amazing skills even for actors. He is two-faced without being two-faced!

I think Giancarlo's performance is the only redeeming quality of the story of FC6 Anything else they wrote was actually very bad and boring. That ending was even worse.

I actually came to a conclusion that Gustavo Fring and Buggin Out are two polar opposites. Gus is incredibly polite and well mannered, but evil. And Buggin Out is a very angry and combative young man, yet a good person deep down inside. Only an amazing actor could pull off both so convincingly.

I want him in a dual role with Christoph Waltz!!

Giancarlo now basically plays the same character in every show. The gentleman psychopath/killer/villain. Gus Fring and Johnston (with a T) from the Gentlemen series could have basically been the same person. However, he plays these characters so well that I'm excited what next suave bad guy he's gonna play next.

Giancarlo should do an audiobook or ASMR! I can hear him talking for hours.

It's refreshing to hear him spelling his surname the italian way (with an emphasis on the first "o")

This might be the first time a lot of people are seeing him as a person and not as Gustavo. Must be quite the shock. I remember my first time seeing him in an interview after I had watched BCS(watched it before BB) and you just can't shake that uneasy feeling. Here though. I've never seen him this open and jolly.

I just finished Far Cry 6 for the second time. Giancarlo really did what he could with the garbage writing that Ubisoft had come up with.

You know what, giancarlo on a John Wick movie, either he become a legendary assassins among John Wick himself or he own himself a continental hotel somewhere where the next chapter takes place. Dude imagine a duo between john and Giancarlo, while john is slick and fast, meanwhile giancarlo is slow and smooth at assassinating.
