The world of Scelsi is very peculiar. Here, he uses slowly varying tones at each voice to make the music evolve.

even though the color of the piece is very frightening, somehow, its so much fun to listen to it. I think if its fun and interesting to listen to contemporairy music, they did it right...

Should be Arditti String Quartet as there are no other ensembles that have recorded the cycle of 5 string quartets.

It is very annoying when modern music is posted without such vital info a the performer or the year of composition. The only recording I'm aware of is with the Arditti's complete quartets, but that is just my best guess. MUSIC? gets a like if he adds it to the notes.

That's the first time I've heard Scelsi referred to as derivative. I _have_ heard things referred to as derivative of Scelsi though. still, examples maybe would help.
