Excellent review! Spot on, on why the tooling of the pegs, heads, hands, boots are not interchangeable among all these Classified figures? You'd think it would be cost effective for them to use some standardization. Even the butterfly articulation is poorly designed and not efficient for maximum poseability - compare it with Action Force's butterfly articulation and you'd know. Hasbro is cheap for not including sheaths for the knives and an Uzi. We get less and less accessories for Classifieds.

That tournament section made me subscribe. Very nostalgic feeling and decent review bro.

Hasbro blowing this calling them Classified yet being a smaller version and not being able to swap heads. I know Hasbro did the same with the Marvel Legends and xmen movie line.

Action choreography for the snake eyes movie is the same choreographer who did all the stunts for rourni kenshin

This is going to make great fodder for metal gear custom fogures

This one def seems better than the baroness. Still gonna get him in hopes for a classified eco warriors one day.

Scarlett Witch (Comics): Blue Eyes, Red Hair, Half Jewish-Half Romani Scarlett Witch (Movies): Green Eyes, Dark Brown hair, Half Norwegian-Half English Aquaman (comics): Blue Eyes, Blonde Hair. Aquaman (Movies): Green Eyes, Dark Brown Hair. Deadpool *before skin got burn (comics): Blond hair, Blue Eyes Deadpool *before skin got burn(movies): Dark brown hair, brown eyes. AND THERE'S MORE. tbh, when they casted them, no one say a word. People aint saying shit abt these actors. But when it comes to Golding, most people be like, "He's not white, He's not blond, he's doesn't have blue eyes. Snake Eyes is White in the comics!" I mean, it's pretty clear that u guys are racist towards Asian. That's all Im gonna say. Like people don't give a shit abt race swapping for Wanda, why?! And now yall hating on Golding? I really like the new suit for snake eyes, I’m not crazy about seeing his face and since they hired Henry Golding he will not be silent or wear the mask much but I might swap this guy into my classified series display, I like the other one but all the loose straps and the ankle design combined with the drop hinges make mine a bit of a pain to pose, I like the sleekness of this one

Ray Park had no issues keeping his face hidden as Snake Eyes in the last two movies and not talking and after seeing his acting in the live action King of Fighters movie where he played Rugal, that was prob a good idea they did that lol But yeah I guess this is an origin movie. Always kinda doubtful when movie makers do this sort of thing where they make a movie with intended sequels as if they guarantee the first movie will be a success.

@@WumboMing yes but the core elements of the character are missing, with the superficial details like talking and showing his face being the bow on top, still a cool suit

Why is the actor's head is not proportion to the body? The alternate unmasked head looks kinda big and wide, while the body is kinda short or small.

The sword on mine won't go in the sheathe all the way. I'm definitely putting it in correctly. Going along with the curve the right way. With it pegged in the back and looking at the fig from the side, it does look bent in a way its not supposed to be. Does Hasbro replace defective accessories? Or, am I stuck with a warped part?

Im not too happy about having Snake eyes not being a white guy he instead is a Asian guy in this film . As you know snake eye wasn't a Asian and Stormshadow hated that too which added to their rivalry. Just don't understand why they changed all that for this movie but thats Hollywood for you these days. Of course I'm still going to buy this figure but i will skip on going to see the movie. Hope you don't think I dislike Asians because i love all Asians, I respect everyone just don't like it when they start changing the original source material and replace it, its like they are killing our pop culture we grew up with. Anyways loved your review as always Mr Stan and I can't wait to see the next one. I've preordered the entire snake eyes movie line so these reviews you make are very informative. I get to know what I will be getting as far as the figures pros and cons. Take care of yourself and stay well

One of the appeals for the figure is being able to swap the head. such a miss opportunity. Still picking it up but come on Hasbro!

It looks like the left arm is lower than the right due to the right butterfly joint being so deep in the shoulder socket. Can that be fixed so the shoulders can align better? Or maybe it's just QC with your figure. I don't know if it's the sculpt or how they painted the eyebrows, but the Henry Golding head looks more Asian than Eurasian to me.

Not sure if you were joking. But those aren't butterfly knives. Those are Trench Knives which are considered to be the most dangerous knife. 1 reason is because it basically brass knuckles with a built in blade. You can punch and shank

That stamp on the bottom of the box should be the production date code. Can you make out the numbers under the tape? 01491? 11491?? Wonder if they're covering it to not show that they were made last year.

The comic version is too sci-fi. I still like the more realistic look of the movie version. The Snake Eye movie version has a better shape than the comic version, but the accessories are much less. The hot weapons are castrated and only cold weapons are left. The actor himself, completely collapsed, looking forward to the big box of snake-eyed man and wolf

The grainy texture makes it look like a 3D printed figure. I would have thought they would make a movie tie in figure have a better finish.

The movie snake eyes appeared taller because you didn’t have the waist pushed down enough- at 12:10 you can see the drop down on the legs was never reversed.

Hasbro does that to make more figures with the accessories to make more money 💰 so we will have more than 5 versions

those are called trench knives. Butterfly knives are much smaller and have the flip out action. BTW that will always be the Henry Golding head… never the “real” Snake eyes head… He should have stayed a mystery. You missed the fact that it does not have a bot swivel. Also you didn’t show the bicep swivel. Does he have drop down hips? Hasbro always skips out on articulation and accessories, especially with figures that they have to pay for likeness rights.

They are butterfly swords, also called butterfly knives in the U.S. Not to be confused with the Balisong "butterfly knife".

@@leachcraft butterfly swords are a completely different thing. Long and hooked at the end. Butterfly knives are small pocket sized blades with a 2 part handle that can con seal the blade. They are flashy to open as they whip out and around and you could easily lose a finger if you do t know what you are doing. Also snake eyes is known for having an impressive trench knife collection.

@@mamunestor that is a Balisong, also called a butterfly knife. Butterfly swords, also confusingly called butterfly knives here in the U.S , are the blades you see that come with Snake Eyes. Hooked swords, also called twin hooks, or tiger head hook, are very different. You can type butterfly swords into Google, it's the first images shown. All these can be Googled.

I hope that Storm Shadow is gonna be better, or I’m gonna cancel my preorder

Personally, I'm gonna ditch the knives and Movie helmet in favor of my Baroness C.O.I.L. helmet and make my figure a Cobra Cyber Ninja, or something like that. I've pretty much decided that the only figures I'm NOT modifying are the two other lady characters, Scarlett and the kunoichi figure. They'll be extra Joe ladies in my collection, in another effort to balance out the 3 to 1 testosterone imbalance on my Classified shelf. Thank GOD for the lady Jaye figure. I made three kitbash figures out of three additional Jaye purchases; Covergirl, Daina from Oktober Guard, and a Native American Tracker girl to partner up with my Spirit Custom. All from Lady Jaye parts and Marvel Legends headswaps and ML figure parts.

I have the first retail snake eyes I'm getting the fortnite snake eyes I'm getting the super 7 snake eyes and timber I'm getting the alpha commando set and now this

Tape is to cover original release dates from sitting in warehouses for two years leftover weapons ran out of uzis 🤔

I just don’t know. The costume looks cool, but the figure’s proportions are so off. He looks too thin around the waist. I’ll stick with the other Snake Eyes from the Classified line, maybe I’ll get this if the movie is good.

I feel like the unmasked head is a little too big, it will look better on a ML body.

Cool toys but I still dont get why Snake-Eyes is Asian now. He was always a blonde dude in the comics. Kinda went with his whole outcast persona as a non Asian dude being accepted into a Ninja clan. Similar in concept to Marvel's Iron Fist. It was Storm Shadow being Asian which made for the polar opposites dynamic and then the whole drama with the murder of their master etc

Golding's head will stay in the box for me. Would prefer a disfigured head sculpt anyways.

Snake Eyes from what I remember, which was a shot of him with his back turned, he had his blond hair intact and the back of his neck looked normal skin wise. I must have missed the comic where they showed his face though

He's got double jointed elbows and butterfly jointed shoulders??? I'm in! I want this figure. I'll just never use the helmeted head and call him something else. #NotMySnakeEyes 🤣

They should have kept his helmet on it seperates him from the other Joe's. Plus he's blond hair blue eyed and heavily facial scarred that's why he never removes his helmet and his larynx is also damaged, that's why he doesn't talk. Great job killing his epic standings among the other Joe's.

Thanks for doing the review for everyone. I really do not like new iteration or figure of the actor. This just isn’t the real Snake-Eyes. Furthermore, I think it is a disservice to all fans of the franchise as well as to the Asian community to change his origin story just to gain the support of the Asian community.

It was a fake story in an attempt to turn him into a ninja, when clearly he was NEVER a ninja from the original cartoon show. HE WAS just a plain ol' Commando with NO martial arts skills. So you pick the story. Is he a commando or a ninja? I prefer keeping him a commando as it was intended by the creator.

@@BamBam-ib6qk Snake Eyes was always an expert martial artist. His original file card from '82 states he knows 12 different forms. His '85 file card states he was trained by the same ninja family who produced Storm shadow. The same writer from the comics (Larry Hama) wrote the original file cards and backstories for all the characters to the toyline. He also was the one that wrote in Snake Eye's ninja back story very early on in the comics series. Also, he was portrayed as a ninja in the cartoon series. It's just that he wasn't used all that often.

Thought Snake Eyes was white and didn't show his face...? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Well yeah he was white but of course at one point in his life he did talk and did show his face lol (until the accident trying to save Scarlett). He also almost died before that when Storm Shadow saved his life. Of course all this took place during the Vietnam War so now they gotta modernize things otherwise he'd be in his 70's now lol

You can't possibly be excited about this......

I love G.I. Joe, but this movie looks terrible. I'd rather see the Demon Slayer review than the Snake Eyes movie figs.

Qhat I don't understand is no one seems to have a problem with showing the face of Snake Eyes. The allure of Snake Eyes is that he could be any of us as a kid. It's like making a head for Cobra Commander. It just kills the mystique of Snake Eyes.

This is like a packaged Snake Eyes cosplayer. Hard pass

I only issue with the new movie is that Snake Eyes was a White kid, a Westerner, basically looking more White than Asian. The whole idea of Snakes Eyes being a Ninja was that he wasn't Japanese, somewhat like the American Ninja movies. I just felt they wanted to cater to some "WOKE" movement making Snake Eyes be Asian, especially since Hollywood is more concerned with there audience in China, than in the US or Europe. It is no secret that China is a big market for the movie industry. A big example of this was the delay if releasing the remake or "Red Dawn" from the enemy invaders to the US not being from China, but North Korean. thus, they had to digitally redress or re-shoot scenes with insignias, flags, etc. linked to China. I grew up loving GI Joe, and would do extra chores to earn money to buy a GI Joe figure. Snake Eyes of course was one of my favorite characters, simply because he was a ninja, and later when i started buying and reading the comic and learned his backstory, as the original story was he served with Stalker and Storm Shadow in Vietnam, where he was disfigured. After the war he accompanied Storm Shadow back to Japanese and joined Storm Shadow's Ninja clan. I liked that backstory. Later in the GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra live-action movie we get a different backstory, where Snake Eyes, was some homeless kid who is invited to live and join the clan, where he trained from childhood to be a ninja. Personally, I like the original backstory as besides training to be a ninja, Snakes Eyes was trained as a solider and was part of an elite military team during the Vietnam War. They could have just as easily adjusted the war setting and experience to modernize it to Afghanistan and/or Iraq as GI Joe isn't really set within our immediate time period. I will more than likely watch the film and have bought a couple of new Shake Eyes figures that have been released, but not the ones that seem to be released for the new movie.
