Great review bro. Waiting for the Gridiron Loadout. The Mark2Design rifle is incorrect also, that's an M16A1 with bayonet, Airborne had a CAR-15 XM177 with the early cut down triangle forearms that were common in Vietnam at the time until they actually made forearms for them that fit without having to be modified. 😎

I absolutely love the face sculpt. They nailed that Airborne's "dead serious" expression and his "far-seeing look" described on his original 80s file card.

Wish the backpack was the same tan as the OG figure. If they do a Retro repaint it probably will be. Also wish the vest was more turquoise blue. I might just give him a repaint. Also no excuse Hasbro is still giving us rubbery accessories. Need a Gridiron loadout.

I just got this today and I love it! The only thing I don't like is his night vision looks cool, it doesn't line up with his eyes and it falls off too easily. I just put on his goggles and it looks great.

This is one that I think will seem to get better as time goes on.

I really am excited for this character and to finally show up for me, this, retro Scarlett, Duke, and TecVi are the pre orders of last year I’m most excited for and then Jinx of the current year preorders so far. Though shockwave NF is a one I’m thinking to get too. Great review. Do not like the load out and when ratface reviewed him the weapon he can hold with both hands was supper bent cause it was flimsy like that knife. I’ll have to order the weapons from elsewhere for this one 😆

Thank you. I’m not a fan of the riffle, I just don’t like it in general. The soft weapons are supposed to be going away by 2025, Lenny did talk about it on Dan Who. With that said they never should have been this soft, mine will have a different riffle for sure.

He looks fantastic. I didn't order him early but I'm eagerly awaiting him. He was one of my favorite early figures and near impossible to find here. His weapons are total jank, he looks so much better with the CG rifle. I was afraid that knee was about to snap like a twig though 😂

Airborne was in my top ten Joe's, despite hardly getting any love from the cartoon or comic!😍👍🏽 He's perfect except for that rifle, it looks like Beachhead's classic 1986 rifle, not Airborne's? But awesome figure!🤔👍🏾

It is Beachhead’s riffle and I’m not a fan of it all. It doesn’t bother me as much cause I have so many weapons, but I also don’t think people should have to buy extra weapons because the ones that came with the figures aren’t good.

good review bro 1 rst, congrats on the thumbnail image - title, it looks better than most [classified] in Quebec, the file said he was born around here, same for Grunt because of the 2 languages, we actually missed a lot of file infos comparing it s only years later with the Marvel 'order of battle' comic that I found the bugg as files were now only English and at last complete Airborne I m always impressed at how great the og design endures and still shines I did nt do much with Airborne in the 80s once I got the Dragonfly, he sat in and never really did anything else now, I ll probably never have it, so he s going to be more active and since my team consists of 82 - 83 mostly, he s sure to see action he needs to fill Shockwave or Beach head s duty his weapons yeah, I d prefer Grunt s m - 16 as standard for realism, the more I m buying, the more I m thinking of building an armoury to store weapons for ALL my figs, I buy civilian looking characters for funny scenes ol Hammond with a gattling ; THE PARK IS SAAAAAFE!!! I like the goggles for the ; 'I kick the bad guys' look, D ouh, the 83 s face make him look on medication in comparison, he also quit the booze for sure now, good going Airborne! D the backpack is ok, I d like the shovel to extend to fight with it though SHLANG! a good shovel hit in the face sends vipers crying to their mothers! D mmm, bro, you have taste, I d love that gun! it s sweeeet! I sure wish I could get 4 ram bikes and jump packs to equip my small elite team though I ll try to manage and get the vamp and mms, but that can t carry all the team I m not sure for you guys, but I d sure love to get an olive green Hummer like in 2005 maybe I d get 2, and the vamp for recon if it was a 60th anniversary piece, I d love an abram and hummer, yeah, Cobra could have many stingers and vamps, or the H - 3 as in 'rise of Cobra' but I d rather have something realistic for my team mmm, I love the final pose! woah that Airborne looks in the fire zone like that! kudos to you man! psa Airborne ; medication mixed with alcohol is bad for you kids! you ll get a puffy dummy face you dopes!!! so now you know... good show bro

Cool review. Just got my Airborne today. Love the figure....except his weapon....it sucks and is bent. No worries thoug, equipped him with a Valaverse weapon(which most of my Joes have)

on another topic bro, since you re brave to give your true opinion, always I d explore the different ways to manage a collection, we re in for quite a ton of figs to manage now my way I m broke, live in a small place, I m in trouble, it can look like a flea market stand here in no time but I want to get more still... I keep most still in boxes on display for my favs, green led lighted hall of fame style my Joes, Cobras, Marvel legends, punisher, cap am, iron man, ect Indys are pegged on the wall as deco civilians - hostages I hide the boxes like storage ol Hammond, shang chi girls, Everett Ross, a wrestler girl, Hammer head, ect and 4 lighted real plants, dios - scenes that I finally use my figs for [in progress] 1 urban building 2 levels + sidewalk - front street section [80%] 1 ancient ruins [Indy] [5%] 1 Cobra fighting arena section with Cobra Commander s throne + luxury guests seats [design stage] including a front faced fighting section 'a la' MASS story style when Duke faced the barbarian 1 cartoon inspired Cobra base storage section with roof crane, crates, and science experiments as lighted background [5%] my fun my real fun is to rotate the figs on the dios, once x week at my inspiration cross overs Indy - Joes - Cobra, Ultron with Mindbender or Hulk mind controlled out of character scenes - Firefly in a brothel, urban dio with Shang chi girls, wrestler girls, Hammer head ect D it brings a smile to my face, and can pose them differently every couple of days it involves more of myself to build dios - deco, art, it s also more respected and respectable while I mostly live alone, I leave space for improvement [couple - family] I also buy a few hotwheels, and have a small garage I d wish to improve adding levels, it s cheap and easy to build dios, plenty of tutorials on the tube pilling up shelves goes fine under 60 figs perhaps, after that, you ll need to figure something no? and how good does it really look? satisfying? or packed of just colours? I see some guys busting and posting ; why I quit the fig collection... and yeah, the guys collect 5 - 6 lines... go dope, go broke it seems it is addictive to buy figs, like a little pleasure! but they pile up... so lets hear different concepts maybe? you bro, seem to be like in the middle, half dio, half just shelves, half the battle... D just a suggestion on something we all go through at one point, since 2017 punisher, and now 2024 around 60 already! ; your mission, if you accept it, you can destroy this message, as it s... classified! At this point eye have just come to accept that MOST of my Joe's weapons will be replaced 🤷🏽🤷🏽. Every now and then a decent non gummy non bent weapon is provided but for the most part they get new weapons.

Seems like a pretty cool figure but that O ring figure looks horrible

But you weren’t gonna be happy unless they gave him his classic riffle correct? So if that is your complaint you were not gonna be happy even if the riffle wasn’t softer. As for the soft weapons, they said by 2025 this will be corrected but I’m in agreement that they never should have been like this in the first place.

@@Apunkwithtoysthey have know about the problem since 2022 and said in 2023 that it’s cause of child safety standards when they didn’t know why in the first place. I think it’s fair to say they probably won’t change even with the trays back

@@Apunkwithtoys I wouldn't minded it as much but you are right I wish they would provide a modern interpretation of ANY PARATROOPER LOADOUT. What he's carrying now feels like something a 60s or 70s French paratrooper would carry. i really like the modern stuff like the night vision and helmet but that gun feels really out of place. but its the gummy plastic that pises me off the most. i recently got the ram cycle duke and he just cant 2 hand that smg. it turns into a twisted mess after a day or 2 on display.

@@Apunkwithtoys i sure hope they dont use the plastic on the upcoming docs stretcher. its bad enough that it looks likey screwed up the hnge and it will collapse in on it self unless there's enough friction in the hinge to hold up a figure.
