Omg! Suman ji! Sometimes I really wonder from where do you fish out such pearls from this vast ocean of music ! Another rare radio recording of Ghulam Ali sahab rendering this very poignant ghazal, in his inimitable and charismatic style of singing. His rich, deep and yet mellow voice, exudes charm that envelops our entire being ! And these very sublime and soulful lyrics, penned by Munir Niazi sb, touch the inner core ! Dil jal raha tha gham se, magar nagma-gar raha...Jab tak raha main saath mere ye hunar raha... Merii sadaa hawa mein, bahut door tak gayee...Par main bula raha thaa jisei be-khabar raha.... Very sad and gloomy lyrics, sung with such passion and feelings by Khan sb. , could melt any heart ! And these beautiful couplets seemingly could not be added in this radio recording, are heart rending....Khauf aasmaa.n ke saath thaa, sar par jhuka hua... Koyii hai bhi yaa nahee.n , yahii dil mein darr thaa.. But the Maqta also not added in this performance is as heart filling... Uss aakhirii nazar mein, ajab dar tha' Muneer' ..Jaane ka uss ke ra.nj mujhe, umr bhar rahaa... The magnificence of the poetry, sung in the soft and soothing voice of Ghulam Ali ji ,has truly entranced me ! I have been listening in the repeat mode since long ! I am reminded of a similar beautiful ghazal sung by Suman Kalyanpur ji, in the film...Shama...Dil gham se jal raha hai jale, par dhuaa.n na ho! A listening pleasure indeed!

Vichitra ki special thanks to you are sharing the ashaar of Munir Niyazi Sahab not sung by Ustad Ghulam Ali Sahab. The last time I heard Ghulam Sahab live was in the Convention Hall of Ashoka Hotel. My elder cousin called to join him there as he had got tickets for both of us. And even here in Brampton, Canada, there was a program jointly by Ghulam Ali Sahab and Talat Aziz over 15 years back. That is the last I heard Ghulam Sahab live. Abd feels privileged to have heard Munir Sahab reciting his nazms in Delhi along with my parents, who inculcated in all three of their children passion for art, music (Classical Indian and Western both) plays, and fine arts.,

Shrotaon ke saath sureela safar Jari rakhte hue Sumanji ka phir se ek Naya aur zabardast upload. Sumanji, aap kaha se dhundh ke late ho ye sab anmol ghazal jo kabhi kisi ne nahi suna ho? KZread me ghazal gayaki ko promote karne ke liye bahut sara channels hai.......lekin koi doubt nahi hai ki aap jaisa collection shayad kisi aur ke paas nahi hai. Aap ghazal gayaki ka encyclopedia ho! Bahut sare log se hum parichit hue hai jo shastriya Sangeet ke bahut shaukeen hai......lekin ghazal music ke liye aap jaisa pyar hum kisi Mei nahi dekhe hai. Ghazal toh bahut pasand Aya.....lekin us se bhi jyada pasand Aya iss genre ke liye aapka mohabbat. Sada khush rahiye.
