This is right at the beginning where they're still in shakedown.

I think the next season should have storylines based around guests and events hosted at the BnB. For instance, remains of the Lenape book the manor for a national tribal conference, and Sassapis is shocked by how much his people have changed over the centuries

Why not do both? I have. Love both of them.

The UK version had me care for the all the characters in now time. They seemed like quirky family members after the first episode. From this small trailer I can’t relly get the same vibe. Too pretty those people and well….I don’t know. I might give it a try but I love the Original.

Interesting what the different spin on it is but just strange that for big bits they have literally taken the same character and made them American 😂 The captain in the bbc version says the husband would make a fine soldier, they did the exact same scene except changed it to fisherman 😂 will that character turn out to be gay too? 🤔

Militiaman because he was with the Continental Army, and yes he is. It took him a while to own up to it.

That's the point though. Ghosts are spirits trapped in one place, their place of death. So no, ghosts can't travel across continents etc. A ghost is in essence an imprint embedded in a place so powerful it can be seen.

It's being shown on BBC I Player. It wasn't released in the UK until the current series of the original UK version ended last month.

So they changed the Tribal costume from the pilot.

I love that there more of this show but I far prefer the original UK one. Spoilers for UK and American versions of Ghosts. Not often you see a Black noble lady. And I'll never forgive how the 2021 version stripped all the gay leaving one gay character to be a stereotype. Yeah, they can say George would have villainized the gay community but you can tell that while Fanny rightfully did not forgive George, she understood him and his situation. Really like how they did that. Also, kind of hard to buy that excuse considering they took out the lesbian wedding. And if they want to have a gay character that happens to fall into stereotypes then why don't they just include another gay character that does not. Otherwise, it looks like you only want one gay character whose sexuality is played for a few gay jokes. They could have just made Sass gay. I'm pretty sure Native Americans were okay with gay people ( correct if I'm wrong ). You could have shown more of Sass' and Native American history and avoided the look of "show has one gay character played for gags". Sorry for the rant, just hate how they butchered the interesting gay storylines they were handed and missed the easy opportunities to rectify it. Oh well, maybe they'll make a change for the next season but I doubt it.

There are a handful of precedents for black people having been accepted into high society in the 18/19th century. Although it rarely ended well for them once their sponsors passed away. No matter how integrated they became, it was easy for disgruntled relatives of the deceased to strip an outsider, of any colour or background, of any advantages or security they may have gained.

Isaac winds up dating and getting engaged to Nigel, the redcoat lieutenant colonel he accidentally killed while ogling him through the sniperscope he'd attached to a loaded musket, at the end of the current season. Plus Nigel had been romantically involved with one of his male subordinates in the past. And Alberta was murdered by Hetty's son so he could be with Alberta's boyfriend. And Flower seems to be bi because she talked about being in a throuple when she was alive.

So far there is 6 LGBTQ characters in cbs ghosts, Earl Boudreaux, George, Isaac, Nigel, Jenkins, and Thomas Woodstone

watching the pilot episode again, when will we see the guy with removable head (as I may describe it) be back on the show? I thought he's part of the cast.

Poor copy of the British one. They should have gone with a different storyline. So that there was nothing to compare with

Although I wouldn't watch this version, partly because I'm getting too old to commit to the sheer quantity of episodes US series are spread across, I do wish it well. I'd like to see what other countries would do with their own versions.

Having watched every episode of the original series from the UK. I can honestly say this American version looks and sounds as funny as a hangover. 🙄. Not for me thanks.

The uk original is very funny, on this clip alone the American version looks pretty garbage

From what I’ve seen, it’s not garbage, but definitely not as good as the the UK version. The chemistry isn’t as good, and the jokes are sometimes forced. But there are enough good scenes to work in the US

@@Tinkherbella The UK one benefits from this being the fourth or fifth project the team have done together. There's a strong chemistry which extends to the new recruits to the team. There is a real sense of the characters having known each other for a long time. I've only seen clips of the US version, so can't say for sure, but it seems more traditional sit-com oriented than the British one. Like it was designed to have a laugh track.

@@catherinerobilliard7662 Yeah, and it looks like the potential for the show to be fantastic is already here. It’s funny, touching, the characters, actors and crew of the whole show are great. The show is on top twenty lists of shows that are the best to come out this year, and it’s been given a full season order of episodes. Ratings for the show are really good and people on social media want the network to make the show an hour long, instead of just half of one, with a season two.. S҉U҉C҉C҉E҉S҉S҉!😁

This is so American. Screw the British version. They can put on a kettle and toast their scones. If that doesn't make sense that is because from the American perspective this show will do very well. I do like the British Trevor guy. He was great in the Horrible Histories show.
