this game actually scared me as a kid

The sheer amount of damage you could do and the destructibility physics in this game was really impressive at the time and was one of the biggest accomplishments in making this game feel like an authentic Ghostbusters experience. Looking at it now it still looks pretty damn good.

As a very young kid playing this game I used to LOVE to just mess around when playing this. I'd knock things over, see what I could break, I was never fully focused on the story though the story was still good enough to keep my childish mind entertained. What a great game.

i remembered playing this when i was a kid, literally completed the game soooo many times and it is still fun

I got goosebumps when i got to use the proton pack and trapping the ghost for the first time, the sound effects stayed so true with the original movie 😁😁😁

There has been a curse on video games from movies to be terrible but I love this game so much!

the ghosts look better in this than in the trailer for the new movie.

Yeah, original actors. Most of the original props were used for the sound effects. This game is and was considered by the main cast and directors to be the 3rd Installation of the franchise.

@zacharylee6433 , so now we need a timeline connecting this game to the other three (including Ghostbusters Afterlife). Could it be that this game is officially the piece we need to solve why the OG Ghostbusters are separated by the events of Ghostbusters Afterlife? I mean, I know Harold Ramis was dead by then, but still, his presence is heavy on the film. The Ghostbusters seemed to be estranged in the film, so maybe something about the events between this game and the third film must aline..

This game was great, cant believe I played it when it first came out.

LOVED the game so far that I just ordered my own copy and can't wait to play it! The scene from 6:44 to 7:25 is just BRILLIANT! The graphics, writing, dialog, humor, and use of the original soundtracks makes it so ENJOYABLE to re-watch and re-play over and over again (will NEVER get old). So glad the developers got the cast from films to reprise their roles of our beloved *GHOSTBUSTERS* with their voices and humor. God-bless them. :)

If someone interested to know more about this hotel , it is situated not in New York !!! It situated in California in Los Angeles in Downtown near Pershing Square . Also it is in GTA 5 and named The Emissary . Besides in real life it named Millennium Biltmore . I have a dream to go there and have several nights there . This building has a very nice and cozy atmosphere . As you see it is very beautiful hotel made in the old style . Frankly saying I'm from Russia and I knew it because firstly I played this game and then after several years I searched the net : Wikipedia , some web sites , KZread and others . I love this place . The graphics are amazing it was dialogue that need working rather repetitive but the game was absolutely extraordinary outside of game dialogue which sometimes took you out of the game cuz it was so repetitive this hasn't been the best Ghostbuster game I ever played and for me this is the third Ghostbuster movie this new one that's coming out I know why the trying to make it because of what happened with the Columbia TriStar with he did well I think we should just let it go there's no way they can do it without Harold Ramis it just won't be the same here's what they could have done that you could have made the extreme Ghostbusters into the movie as a sequel just that's what they should be doing not trying to do what they're doing with this this is a bad idea and is going to flop I hope not cuz I love this movie franchise and I don't mean the 2018 nonsense we just saw good luck Dan Aykroyd you going to need it

I remember playing this game when I was little it was amazing and for some reason a little scarier at the time lol

Ever since I had first played the Ghostbusters video game, I had often wondered why the designers didn't have the hotel manager look like the actor, Michael Ensign, who played the role of the hotel manager for the 1984 Ghostbusters film and I also had often wondered why they didn't have the exterior and interior of the Sedgewick Hotel look just like Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, which is one of the filming locations that was used as the Sedgewick Hotel for the 1984 film.

Looks like a great game. The voices and script are outstanding :) Shame there was never a real third Ghostbusters film.

The only thing that happens is if you actually destroy the ham, you'll get an achievement/trophy "Kosher!!!"

I know nobody's really gonna pay attention but it looks like the Sedgewick and the manager have gone through some changes since we last saw them. I guess the remodeling they did back in 1987 probably had to do with the busters again. Can't say I blame them after what probably happened the last time with the Sloth Ghost if "Remember the Ellis Island Incident?" line by Egon is any indication.

Compared to games like MGS4 and Halo 3:ODST, graphically. It was pretty good looking stuff back then. Even the one on the PS2 and Wii had adequate animations at the time, sorta still holds up today as well.

With Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis in charge of the script as well as the original cast reprising their role in this game, it would make so much sense if this game was canonical to the film timeline before Afterlife.
