I had this as a kid, always bugged me you could remove Slimer from the back pack, but he was then cut in half with a massive hole in him. They should have included a tail to attach. But it was doubly annoying as this version was far more accurate to how he looked in the cartoon, than the original.

Never thought I'd get so much enjoyment from watching someone else play with an old slime-belching toy! This was fun. I never had this particular Green Ghost, but I did have the original version of the figure, so this was really cool to check out. Thanks, Dan!

SLIIIIME! I don't think I ever really had any slime toys, but definitely would get like the tubs of Gak to play with, I can distinctly remember how that stuff smells. As for these, I had a bunch of Real Ghostbuster toys but don't remember seeing these guys at all as a kid, so really cool to see it now, thanks for sharing!

First of all congratulations of getting over 2 million views for this brilliant. i was looking at the wave 2 boxed ghosts last night there so expensive. im after squisher,seen some ecto plasm but its going for 150 i'll do same as you did with alternative slime

The thing I find strange is that they made the slime purple for a lot of the toy line. I remember the ecto-plasm that came with the Fire House was purple. However the cartoon/movie used green slime and obviously slimer is green! (Now sure you could argue that the slime from part 2 was pink/purple but these toys were made LONG before that film) Another thing I find extremely funny is they show the Fright Features Peter being slimed! That would be the WORST toy to slime with all of the moving parts, the slime would easily get in those little crevices and would be tough to clean. Haha strange stuff.Anyway GREAT Video and do more Real Ghosbusters related videos! Cheers

Poor Peter. I remember my buddy having the Ghostbusters HQ that had those grills in each floor to gloop slime through but the stuff he had was too thick and it would take about 20 minutes to get through the first floor. Hardly the most exciting slime based fun. If you check out in Debenhams they have some Nickelodeon make you own slime stuff. Has this powder you mix with water. might be good for getting just the consistency you want.

Really great video as always Dan! I would have loved this as a kid - its a really nice sculpt on the ghost - he looks a lot more like the cartoon Slimer than the proper first wave "green ghost" figure than I had. That Ghostbusters toys advert in the middle is awesome - II had all those first wave figures with the proton packs and ghosts - I'm jealous you still have a nice condition proton pack for your Venkman - its hard to find them, they snap and break so easily. Loved the bit at the end with the speech samples from the videogame - which version was that from? I have it on C64, NES and Master System :D
