@@nikkothegoblin Demos for Stand By Him, Prime Mover, and Death Knell were put on Myspace on March 12, 2010. The full album was released October 18, 2010. The Hammer of Doom IV show was October 23, 2010. I suppose some of them knew the lyrics, but what I mostly hear is the backing track, not the audience.

I really love all the different eras of Ghost but this one was special, and so was Papa 1. He had a simplier look but had a much more sinister and impressive aura. Very authoritarian, solemn, other Papas are cool and funny but you really don't want to mess with this one.

Abigail Robles es que los antiguos ghouls tuvieron problemas con Tobias y lo demandaron, uno de lod temas a tratar era el personaje del Pápa, y por eso no pudo sacarlo en este albúm.

Is that an Iceman bass? I hope the Cardinal transforms into something a bit more evil. Either way they've given us a lot to enjoy. I can never picture Tobias without the masks singing these songs, maybe someday? I will say they're so much more polished nowadays.

Ghost are the Papas, not Forge. He should never sings these songs unmasked. It takes away the aura. Unplugged, fine, but unmasked, hell no.

i like to seperate albums 1-3 as ghost bc and the new stuff is just ghost😭. i miss when ghost was dark.

Tobi's voice sounded considerably deeper back in these days. Had less of that nasally thing. Not complaining. Just kinda jarring.

CthulhuRogers I know this is a month old comment but anyway, Tobias said in an interview that he has a deviated septum due to an injury if I remember correctly. Probably contributes to the nasally sounding voice. I love his deeper, creepier vocals though!

@@ghosttemplatte He also said in a recent interview with Loudwire that it's because of him developing a slight claustrophobia with the suit and mask that restricts his singing on stage and that it too pisses him off.

Sam That makes a lot of sense, that’s a lot to wear on stage to perform in! It makes me a bit claustrophobic to think about.

It’s nice to see their beginning. They are so polished and sharp now it’s almost inconceivable how low they started.

Brilliant work as usual. Are there any more videos from the Hammer of Doom Festival? As far as I can tell, this is the only show that predates the Live Evil video that's been going around. It'd be interesting to see more footage of the band predating it.

Well, only one of these Ghouls were fired because by 2016 only one original Ghoul was left. Every era had some lineup changes. It's never been the same 5 Ghouls. Tobias solely wrote Opus and Prequelle so this lineup not being a part of it means nothing because they didn't help write either album.

Max Schreck just for the sake of it I rechecked many live uploads from the 1st shows to infessisumamm tour.the musicality and the vibe is almost the same, and the guitarists also.this vibe is apparent on this album and after on meliora.also on meliora and most of popestar tour the guitarists were the same.and the fact that omega is missed to many fans say Sth..now what happens in the studio no one knows, but this lineup really is weak and prequelle sounds like a project unlike the previous albums.

Moe Syzlak imo the guitar core of the band(and ghost are famous as a band to many,myself included)was the same until popestars most of the tour.the playing is certain and cannot be duplicated live.after all everyone thought that there wasn't 1 papa emeritus,right? The difference is clear on prequelle that sounds as a solo project,and probably is.

constantinos xenos As a live band I do think it was the same that whole time maybe 1 or 2 changes every tour, Dave Grohl was drumming for them at one stage, but in the studio it was close to all Tobias. As for the change of sound I honestly think it’s Tobias been Tobias, he hates staying still & repetition. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they had another surprise album out before the end of the year based off some rumours I’ve seen.

It will never be the same. Forge's greed ruined the band. Now it's a solo act and a shadow of what it used to be. Glad Sunraven has preserved these gems.

What's ironic about Ghost is that their whole thing is mocking religion, yet the band has been severely altered and changed by money and infighting, much like religion has over centuries. Eventually, greed won out. I enjoy the new stuff as well, but this lineup had something special.
