My own theory: the ghost plane was supposed to be a buddy feature in the game, but something went wrong, so the developer decided to delete the files, during the deletion, some of the files were saved, but were not erased during the release, so the ghost plane is a forgotten feature that is still in the game.

Try to get in front of the ghost plane, then go on the back of your plane and set the ramp to flat. Then jump on the ghost plane yourself. But avoid getting too close to the ghost plane

My theory is that the devs made it so that if players get close to 35000 it will spawn and mess up the controls so the player doesn't get any higher

I still wonder if the ghost plane may be a soul of some developer that was fired or his idea of the early XV-40 concept was shredded and he took his life, transfering his soul in the form of the early XV-40 concept and wants to haunt the players that were playing the same concept of the XV-40 by disabling the plane, getting revenge to the ones who took his idea. That is just my theory.

It would more likely that it's a emp system or anything similar or may be the sea and the 2 Islands are way closer to space and well with little to no pressure just about everything goes boom so it might be it

I don’t think they will add a mystical plane themselves because why would they do it?it must be an in-game files glitch causing it to be flying with infinite fuel infinitely.

At first i thought it was just an illusion, because radar can't detect it. But the lights, the pilot can see it clearly, and infinity aviation's plane just died and fall into the ocean? I don't think so. Theory : The ghost plane is either cursed, or glitched. The plane was a alpha stage of TFS plane model, It was a testing. When the developer tested it, then the alpha test crashed. After the dev opened back the alpha test, the plane is gone. The dev cant find it anywhere, so he made a new one. The test plane got glitched, or cursed. Making if other plane starts going towards it, it glitches the plane, or the curse of the ghost plane, cursed the alpha test plane and making it cannot be helped.

It's a frickin av-40 gunship test for enemy gunship if we have the missle inbound siren and dircm flares chaff and radar jammer ac-130 we shot it down!

My theory: this was xv-40 first actual flight not a simulation but everthing gone worng oxygen was leaking and pilots and staff memeber got unconscious due to lack of oxygen.it is told that pilot had set ap before the oxygen leakage..and now it's still running on ap.

maybe u should try to find real mysterys in tfs i would like that and i subbed bc this is a good series

My theory: The developer wanted to make a New Plane for the xv40 family But then his mind changed and Didnt make It anymore and he deleted the filed but some filed stayed

Maybe it was a special project but then when there's something went wrong in the system and then the fare and then the files went missing

You should try ramming the plane with an XV 40 because you said it reminds you of XV 40 so maybe the plane won't attack it's resemblance or stop it as it could be an old corrupted XV 40 file

Theory: Before The game lunched there was an file corruption and when the devs tested the game when they got a game crash and a computer crash and the corrupt file spreaded out in to other flies becoming corrupt.

Ok, now comes my theory: In my opinion, this ghost plane, was a another variant of the XV-40, but, for some reason, the developer of the game just... Don't liked this variation and "throwed" it out of the game, but, for some reason, the plane still there, why? And another question, why he is just on Archipelago? Why he isn't on the Main Island? Ok, let me explain a possible true. This version of XV-40 maybe... MAYBE was planned to launch with the Archipelago Island update, but, if this was another version of XV-40, why in the menu, when you choose XV-40, didn't appear "Another Variant In A Future Update" like the C-400 with his Tank Variant? Do you remember PV-40? Yes, he is another variant, but he doesn't showed out on the menu when you choose XV-40, he has his own menu. So, my theory is that the ghost plane was probably some variant of XV-40 / PV-40 that didn't make success on the point of vision of the developer, and then, he just decide to not put this PROJECT of the variation of the XV-40 on more development, and when he tried to get this plane out of the game, probably a bug occurred and the plane stills in the game, but, the developer is planning something to take this out of the game.

My Theory Secret Multiplayer: I think it would not be possible to spot the plane without any internet connection if you did not see it without internet connection then its confirmed but if it still shows up Another Theory is that it has an EMP Wepon to shoot down any plan getting incredibly close to the plane which i think has top secret alien files or next gen files it your plane may be trying to avoid being sniped out by the EMP's Op Range capable of shooting aircraft down above 32k ft
