I know it was painful, but props Albert. That is how you do a hot pepper challenge! No cut corners, taking the experience head on. Also, liked Lizzy's thought that spending time doing something meaningless is a privilege.

It's very relatable that feeling when you're sitting there writhing in pain and everyone's asking if you'll be okay and you're just like "oh yeah.. this is great. I'm having a blast" lol This was a very interesting video! When people ask me how my climbing trips go, I always say it was the good kind of painful. Most that don't climb don't get it and it's hard to explain but this helps make sense out of it.

The worst is not the seeds, it's the white parts, so if you only eat the tip it's way better than closer to the seeds (where the white stuff is)

Albert, I really enjoy all the content you're putting out there. Also really like the conversational approach you took in this video! Love to hear about the different motivations, philosophies and headspaces in climbing and bouldering, there is such a wide range compared to other sports. I have seen some of Lizzy's videos before, but did not really follow among the sea of "sick send videos" out there. She seems like a very genuine and nice person, hope to not just see, but hear her more often! I guess having a good story around it makes you appreciate the athletic achievement so much more :)

Hey! Nice way to put things in perspective. This summer many "bad" things happened. Didn't knew that there were two types of fun haha. In a way it's better than just think about stuff as "everything happens for a reason", instead view them as an experience that inevitably occurred and now we can look back without that fear of uncomfort of the moment. Thank for the video man!

I think climbers are attracted to type 2 fun because, in a lot of people's perspective climbing itself is a type 2 fun. So, naturally if you enjoy climbing- I think you're slightly introduced to type 2 fun. I also think that all the injuries and struggles that we experience as climbers also is so different and demanding that, it can seem like straight up torture.Overall, I'd say that seeking the difficultly in type 2 fun is worth it because it simply can only benefit you (sometimes) lol.

Climbing is type 2 fun? I guess I'm climbing wrong then haha. Feels more like a physical video game puzzle. Figuring out each move and position to "complete" even on the wall/boulder/whatever and the cheeky feeling when you occasionally cheese a section. As for the rest of the video... I might try this with a few friends hahaha!

I think most climbing is type 1. Type2 is only when you're doing really hard projects for a long time and ripping your skin etc.

I can sort of understand but also not. I've had part of my beard ripped out of my face, gouged a small chuck out of my leg, and almost degloved my palm. Mistakes suck, but if it's not fun while you're doing it, then the activity itself isn't whats doing it for you in my personal experiences. I am aware that my experience may not be the norm, nor fact, but I've seen plenty of people who do things that in the moment don't like it quite as soon as their friends or community or whatever else was in the background dropped interest. To me that's enjoying the environment, not the activity. Nothing wrong with that, just my admission that I don't really understand it

Fun fact, i don't know a ton about it but anyways, almond milk doesn't actually help with spice! You need the fat of cows milk for it to bond with the capsaicin.

  • @Joie-du-sang

Almond milk yogurt has some fat in it. Almond milk has a tiny amount of fat, about 1/4 of what's in whole milk. Soy milk has about half.
