This has got to be the most impactful, and frankly terrifying reveal of a rage meter I've ever seen in a video game. Sucker punch definitely did the right thing waiting as long as they did to introduce this mechanic.

I got goosebumps as soon as I noticed it said slaughter instead of assassinate. Then it said ghost stance. I’ve never felt more like a badass while playing a game. This brings back memories of the first matrix when Neo realizes he’s the One or when In Dragonball Goku goes super saiyan for the very first time.

bro even i was scared of Jin at that moment, them goosebumps. After Rdr2 and Witcher 3 this is the only story of a game that hit me like a train of feels

Funny how the stance works. You kill people to fill them with fear/dread and use that emotion to create weakness in which kill them through. If you get hit, it shows that you are mortal, restoring morale in them, showing that your not a ‘ghost’.

If I were a mongol and saw the legendary "ghost" killing 10 fellow soldiers without taking any damage I would shit my pants. Brutes sometime still attack you in Ghost Stance. Maybe they're more stupid than the others so they don't fear Jin.

Fun Fact, Sakai warning the Mongols of their fate after killing the general is based on real life's Tsushima story of a samurai killing the Khan's right hand man!

G M you can shoot someone's head off in red dead 2 but as far as swordplay I don't think anybody ever took it there

if there's ever a ghost of tsushima 2 they should have a mythic tale all about the ghost stance and the part where the musician talks about it is how jin defied his uncle to become the ghost and the savoir of tsushima

It could pull a Metal Gear Solid 2 and let us see the Ghost from an observer's perspective. The protagonist of the sequel is saved by Jin and inspired by his words and actions, so seeks to become a ghost just like him. With time came the advancement of technology. Gunpowder has come a long way, and so you have access to the Firearm, Grenades, and of course the Smoke Bomb. In some ways, you end up surpassing Jin, though Jin will always be the original Ghost - a legend that will be remembered in myth far longer than people might remember you.

How would Jin be alive to save Someone But the same person who was saved was alive for gun powder to advance hundreds of years ahead in Japan ? , the Japanese didn’t even know Guns existed untill Portuguese sailors gave it to them in the 1500s Even a game like Ghost of tshumia won’t be that ridiculous Anyway , why would we want to see that My suggestion is that Jin would go out on his own accord and would single handily destroy the mongol empire on Main land China , and we get to see Jin as the ghost slaughter them , maybe finding new weapons and Advancing his skill throughout the world of China (which was far far more advanced than Japan) And if they do the same thing again where you play as an ordinary samurai that evolves his skill and turns into the ghost That would be really boring because it would be the exact same as the First game We can’t abandon Jin yet , and Jin has massive potential in future games , maybe he becomes exiled in Japan where he is forced to survive admist thousands of samurai hunting him down And instead of the locals supporting Jin , they hate him and so does everyone, then we get to see Jin as a disgraced and hated Samurai barely surviving in. The hostile world of Japan

It actually makes sense a second part of this amazing game. Doesn't matter which end you had, Jin ends up as a traitor for the Shogun and everyone is looking for him to kill him. A second video game could be in another big cities of Japan instead of Tsushima with Jin fighting against the Mongols there and as the Kahn said, "Another one will come and replace me".

Its pretty badass when you realize that by the end of the game, Jin becomes a mythic tale himself. "The Ghost of Tsushima" A spectral Samurai who stalks the island of Tsushima as a vengeful protector of the people of Tsushima. A defender of the weak, a demon sent by Hachiman himself to defend Tsushima's people and deliver fierce vengeance on all who threaten them. A spirit that lurks in every shadow, watching, waiting. A cautionary tale for all who would dare threaten Tsushima. Mongol or Japanese. One who comes and goes like the wind.

The music, the dialogue, the atmosphere, the events that have transpired, have all led to this single moment in the game. You see Jin talk to his people not as a Samurai, but as a son of Japan. Jin understands that in order to defeat this enemy, he must sacrifice everything he holds dear; the beliefs he grew up with, the values embedded in his bloodline and the norms he is accustomed to. All of it, gone. Bravo Sucker Punch, this is one of those games that will become a cult classic in the next few years.

Man I got tears in my eyes. The moment Jin raises his sword and the enemies got terrified, a pure glory. Wow

I was actually shocked by how amazing this moment was. I did this right before the final mission of Act II so by then I thought I was done unlocking new stuff, but not only did I unlock yet another stance but I unlocked the best and most powerful one in an incredibly well done moment with music straight out of a Hollywood epic. I actually wondered if the game blew it's load too early, like how could the rest of the game possibly top this (somehow it did)?

Literally if you let yourself get immersed into this game fully, it’ll make you tear up and more emotional than some tv series irl. Literally gave me shivers the whole way through this mission and the music during gameplay and cutscenes just topped it off

I personally feel that Gosaku’s red armor is the best for “the ghost”. That’s how I’ve done the siege, and man was that shit epic. It resembles an oni!

i always used the sakai clan armor with the betrayer's hat (ryuzo's hat). I think it looks the coolest, and the way the hat covers part of jin's face really adds to the mysterious "ghost" aspect imo.

I think the sound design plays an overwhelming role in how the combat and cinematic cutscenes, executions, tone etc... feel. The more you pay attention to it the you realize how many games and movies could have been improved massively through just the sound alone.

If they make a PlayStaion All Stars sequel they should add Jin.

I actually felt the power of the ghost when playing this mission. Such an amazing epic game.

Jin gave everything to his people, his island, everything, he gave them hope When they had none left He showed them that together they can drive out the invaders and save their home, when all was lost he rose above and stood against the mongols and he shall be remembered for all time because of it not as a samurai but the Ghost of Tsushima the one who liberated Tsushima from mongol clutches.

I know this hasn’t been out very long but Jin is one of the best leaders in gaming history! fantastic character developing

This was so good because for most of that battle, Yarikawa was on the defensive, and the people had lost all hope. Then The Ghost starts chasing Mongols down the street and the battle turns 180 degrees and the people of Yarikawa shout and cheer for The Ghost. Such an amazing scene. GOTY.

This was my absolute favorite moment in all the game... chills and tears 😭😭😭😭 FOR THE GHOST!!! **joins the people of Yarikawa and bows to the fckn Ghost**

The intro with the title showing up leaving the woods for the first time and using ghost stance for the first time is the most epic and badass parts to me that stood out among many others

I had absolute chills playing this moment, charging with the people of yarikawa as Saikuron played in the background was one of my top gaming moments of all time.

Good thing this game has no friendly slash. Or else I might accidently kill all enemies including my allies...

Who y'all thinks that you yourself would feel ashamed if you didn't play well and lose on that boss fight when Jin speaks confidently and then die 😅

I love how this game shows you what it means to be a warrior vs being a soldier. Being a soldier takes training, being a warrior takes courage. Also, when he said who kill all these Mongols I was expecting for Taka to say, you did, and make the ghost stand more impactful lol

Never thought I'd be yelling, "For Yarikawa!" from playing a game but here we are. Still get goosebumps from this, did not expect this much intensity at this point.

I swear the best music in the game is when you have this duel and the duel with the "demon" when you get the longbow

The first time I did this, my jaw dropped. I was stunned!

I was still wearing the merchant set. Never changed armours until the actual Ghost armour was given.

"Run, cowards!" I LIVE, I HUNGER! I AM SINISTAR

Goosebumps! SP nailed this sequence.

I love that this is introduced about halfway into the game. Showing that Jin has embraced his new persona. Fighting with fear and rage.

One of the best moments of the game

Jin: No mercy Me: *thinking the one shot fight in 300 when King Leonidas spills Persian blood.*

Tears and chills with this. The entire scene is perfect. Jin's speech was just so fuckin epic. What makes it all work is THE Best music in video game in 2020, and I played FFVIIR, TLOU2 and Doom Enteral. What a game!

Just just just completed this mission. And came running to KZread to watch this. Holy shit, this gave me chills.

Jin telling those people's : i can't do this alone without all of you because "we are one" witch means If i can so can you

I think they cant only because of the first fight of the game against khotun khan. That fight would be doable and the game would be over by the first duel

Kaan Karaçak they shouldve done that differently. Like make jin slash across his body if he defeats him but he pushes him off the bridge anyway, but every time jin sees khan or theres a cutscene, he mentions the fight

I love how mongol reaction screaming and running scared each time they see ghost stance

I played this mission with the fully upgraded Clan Sakai Armour on with a black paint coat. This scene, combined with the demonic looking armour, made me understand just how realistic it is that the Mongols are starting to view Jin as a demon walking amongst humans at this point in the story.

Best moment in the game and the score is top notch, definitely goty

Song during jin's speech : tsushima suite 2 : shurai

General Temuge: *exists* Jin: hippity hoppity your head is no longer your property

Boy do I know how you guys envy what I just felt right now. I've only started playing GoT this week and just experienced this moment a few minutes ago haha damn fucking chills

This mission is very powerful and badass it is my favourite

Is it bad that I felt something in the no no zone when taking the head and going ghost stance?

Fucking hell, when Jin takes the Ghost stance it literally gave me goosebumps. The part after he delivers his speech to people of Yarikawa is the moment he officially accepts his title as THE GHOST OF TSUSHIMA.

I LOVE the thunder when Jin slaughtered these Mongols

Best mission in the entire game

A well created Samurai game which delves into history of the Mongol empire hitting a bump in the road when it messed with the warriors of Tsushima... Yeah.. Definite GOTY, hands down.

Seeing Jin (The ghost) in full samurai armor makes him look even cooler

I had the widest most jaw dropped smile when this happened

now i feel like i dont want cyberpunk to be released this year...because i want this game to win goty.

If i remember a storm destroyed Mongol ships and it was thought to be Susano (or the sun god if you played Tomb Raider)

@@xDark_KnIght the kamikaze storm was the 2nd invasion of japan, oddly enough both invasions were thwarted by storms, in the first no one knows what happened as the mongol fleet was just gone and decimated when morning came post late night storm. in the 2nd invasion it was kamikaze because they prayed and then a storm happened thus the divine wind providence.

Goosebumps galore as soon as I hit square. Pretty good game to one of my favorites in one mission. I love it.

I dont think remakes are qualified for goty in the game awards since RE2 remake didnt even get nominated back then(correct me if im wrong), but if it is then yeah ff7r deserves to at least be nominated for goty

@@javierf6162 it was revealed that they called alot of critics that gave it below a 10 and asked why, they were being very passive agressive towards them. This were people who gave it 8 or a 9 btw. They give these critics and review sites free review copies of the game and future invites to conventions and stuff so they in the future will give their other games a good review.

Alex K bullshit, give them free copies doesnt make critics give a good reviews. You clearly dont know how this critics things work, I have a friend who was a youtuber and also a game reviewer. He received a free copies of some games and still give it a bad score anyway, and the dev gave him collector edition

Being an Orch Dork really makes the music hit you. Like holy shit, I haven’t heard great orchestra music like this in a long time. I had chills throughout this entire scene and actually froze from shock when it went to the Ghost stance. This is the best game I’ve played in a very long time.

I know people want a NG+....i don't. Put all the effort into a sequel where Jin is being hunted by Samurai from the mainland while another enemy seeks to take over the island. Give the game 2 enemies that must be dealt with and fix the camera, you'll have one of the greatest games of all time.

the combat is insane. surrealistic
