No one is calling this cultural appropriation. You are making it something, out of nothing. Cultural appropriation is usually formed, when White people make things popular or "cool" but however, for the minorities that which the culture belongs too used to face discrimination from it. IE: Vietnamese Sandwiches (Banh Mi), many Asian kids got harassed and insults for eating a "non-American sandwich." But fast forward to 2019, you have White people making these Banh Mi and selling it because they find it cool and "in" now. That's cultural appropriation. People profiting over another person's culture that used to be discriminated against.

Since this is a first party exclusive its very likely the only thing will be "downgraded" is the lighting and post-processing effects to some degree. Usually multiplats get more noticeably downgraded than exclusives.

@@itsikisraeli8967 That isn't what I'm talking about, I mean at, for instance, 6:02 where he like cuts the dudes weapon in half, cuts his arm off, and THEN does the end suffering. The original end suffering was like a cinematic execution move. The one in the main game is just done on a dying enemy where he stabs them with the tip of his katana.

The scenery is just.... _wow._ I teared up in awe at the view of the Otsuna Grasslands. I can stare at all this for hours. And the body language--amazing! The way his arm subtly tenses when he says "Enough!" looks so real. Bravo.

@@TS-678 as far as i know xbox only had halo and tomb raider that known to be good xbox exclusive. Other than that i dont even other xbox exclusive...

The thing that makes the immersion just over the top of any AC game is, No menu’s or UI’s on the screen once in game gameplay happens, the transition from cinematic cut scene to actual gameplay flows so flawlessly and makes you really feel like your watching a samurai movie or actually in there yourself, Ubisoft take notes

The Meme Master yes i could be a weeb, in parts but not in whole. He is a weeb too, one even more egregious than me. Ive been to japan, and lemme tell you most people going to japan wouldnt waste their money on a foreigner offering his cultural interpretations. We want the real thing. And btw there're more authentic Japanese masters out there than you or the western world give credit for

Maybe one of the best games that I have ever played. The side quests were so brilliantly done, I have almost cried few times.

I still can't believe this masterpiece is out and i have already completed it... I need a sequel as soon as possible!

The visuals are stunning, the sounds are great, the combat seems fluid. This game is already blowing me away

I'm Japanese and surprised that the face of those characters are completely Japanese face. Most of Asian character in western game are refer to Chinese. Even Japanese games, there are rare to model Japanese faces exactly.

tbh i had a similar experience watching assassin's creed odyssey demo cause as a greek i can easily recognise in all female models of the walkthrough trailer them greek characteristics and specialy the nose, then i also noticed it has a distinct greek accent on pronouncing the english in it apart of using a few select greek words too ... love that .

As a Japanese, don’t you think the voice actors should be also Japanese? I feel like watching anime in English, ruins it all...

The art, cinematography, visuals literally made me cry.

The Kensei Armour is one of my favourite armours in the game, next to the Sakai Clan armour and the Ghost Armour.

Hope this is playable in Japanese with English subtitles. It would make the game much more immersive.

libnny gutierrez If you're playing a game set in France, Germany, Afghanistan, South Africa or whatever and every character is born and raised in that specific country, then I (personally) would prefer to play it in the language the setting is based off. It's called, favoring consistency. I wouldn't have an issue with it if it doesn't include other languages though. People immediately coming with assumptions that one has to be some "weeb" simply because it's Japan make me smh... It wouldn't have been any different if the game was based in any other country.

Cad091 totally takes you out of the environment. White men didnt go to Japan until 1853. Before that Japan was isolated for hundreds of years. Therefor no English! It makes no sense and ruins the realism. I would have rathered Japanese with English subtitles. That would have been awesome.

If you actually study the how to use the katana correctly they teach you to clean the sword after every cut there’s different movements to do it before sheathing it such as taping the lit or swing the blade a certain way

Guys, who cares if there's a white guy in an Asian garb playing a flute? He is respecting and admiring Japanese culture. Let me ask you this, would you care if you saw a talented Asian dressed up in a western suit playing a western overture? Or a black guy wearing a sombrero performing in a mariachi band? It's sad when we've made progress to where people of different backgrounds can enjoy each other's cultures and people want to take us backwards by saying its problematic.

The flute usage in this game is spectacular. The use of music in general is, chefs kiss*. When I’m in combat that high tempo and sharp note changes, and then the shift to a calm and peaceful ride with Kage(RIP)
