Archery is SO op in this game. Fun but, OP. My second play through I went for the archery approach. Tayadori’s armor and a few of the right charms, and you turn into the infinite arrow god of archery. I never drew my sword other than for boss fights.

For those who don't know, the bow was actually the Samurai's primary weapon, yes, you read it correctly, the bow. Swords were a last resort and were meant to be symbols of status.

This is funny asl cause the specfically *HORSEBACK* archers are always so romanticized with Katans and swords, even tho carrying them around just mostly meant you served a lord IRL or had some form of status. This dude should do some horseback archer play for the fuck of it 💀

I used the archer build in my first playthrough. It's so satisfying to just drop a whole patrol in a few arrows. The bow was my primary and the katana was my secondary

That’s how I played through the second time. I never once drew my blade other than for boss battles. I grabbed Tayadori’s armor as soon as I could and grind out all the charms to play through the game as an infinite arrow archery god. I loved it.

I just hope that Sucker Punch will patch the game with an hypothetical infinite cleared base reboot.

Yeah, I 100% the game and was really bummed out when I realised all the forts I liberated couldn't be replayed :( on the bright side, you get a pretty badass ghost armour variant for fully completing it

ghowz you can run around. There is still random patrols buts it rubbish once you’ve cleared all the bases.

@@ghowz you basically can't do shit. I recommend slowly playing the game because I finished it pretty fast.

The yurikos keepsake charm. You can get two of those to get a 30% chance to poison with normal arrows Then you can use two of those fortune charms to double chance% for everything you have equipped that uses chance% This means yurikos keepsake charm nets a total 60% chance to poison enemies with normal arrows Wear tadayoris armor for all its archer related buffs There's a gold charm that has a 40% chance to return arrows upon headshots. Itll get doubled to 80% if you're still using the fortune charm to double yurikos keepsake charm. Another charm that can be doubled that is kinda neat is the arrow return charm. For normal arrows: if you miss an arrow you get a 50% chance to pick it up from where it landed. So if it gets doubled its 100% meaning every arrow you miss can be picked up again if you can find it. Its fun to play with but not much use in combat considering everytime I miss an arrow I just make peace with it an let it go. Tldr: the fortune charm is fun to play with

ǝɯǝɯ Isnt Dual Destruction only like a 15% chance though? Increasing that by essentially 100% only gives you a 30% chance of dealing double damage.

@@kooler1994 I was thinking of doing a tank build on my second playthrough. So battles are more drawn out. Also never upgrade the sword.

It's unfortunate that the bow builds get forgotten about once the ghost abilities start opening up. Tadayori armor combined with right charms turn Jin into a medieval gatling gun. If NG+ ever becomes a thing I'm definitely going back and cleaning the bases with that kind of build in mind versus the Gosaku stagger beast mode one I mained.

Nice. This is how I play. Its so easy specially since you can stack charms. All archer skills, a couple of stealth power ups and youre done. The game's ai is bad against archer build.

No, you can change the difficulty any time you wanna in options.

It took for me to switch to an archer build and equip the right charms to enhance said build to finally beat Khan in final boss battle( lethal mode)!!! I jus kept dying and dying until I made the switch

Here is a cool fact. There was no code of honor saying you couldn't sneak around and use tools or having to fight a certain way in feudal Japan. In fact the Samurai sneaked on to Mongol ships at night to kill them in close quarters because the Mongols couldn't as well on foot.

I suck with the kunai I'm very inconsistent on my kill rate with them I mainly use them to one hit archers

Archer build destroys the fight against khan, just spam heavy arrows to the face with an fully upgrade tadayori armor and you get infinite concentration, ps the other enemies just fall once the khan dies

finally, i'm early again
