This song won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance 2016. It works on many different levels - it could be a love song, it could mean 'come join my cult', but it could also be 'you feel different, don't be ashamed, you are not alone'. Especially the lyrics "I can feel the thunder breaking in your heart, I can see through the scars inside you". Wonderful writing.

This album, Meliora, pictures a world where the Antichrist is ruling everything. In "From the Pinnacle to the Pit" and "Square Hammer", we see a version of this near future like a German expressionist movie. In "Cirice", the Antichrist is rising, and the kid is dressed as Papa II, as the Ministry of Ghost is finally out of the shadows. He call the girl to join their cult, as their parents are nodding from the crowd. She has supernatural powers and will be useful in the future. In "From the Pinnacle to the Pit", we see the time in the future when Papa III rises as the new pontiff of the Church of Ghost, and the woman who welcomes him to the initiation is probably the girl from "Cirice".
