I know I'm three years too late, but that's a parody of something that really happened... kind of. Popes are buried in their mitres, and one time a mortician couldn't get the mitre to fit on the dead pope's head properly, so he put it on his own head to get the dimensions and stuff right, and got in trouble for wearing it (even thought he was doing it as part of his job). Or maybe the dude really was trying it on, I mean could you blame him? Either way, I'm pretty sure this is a reference to that.

I think he's addressing me. I was just making a joke about some issues pertaining to the band. Tobias Forge, the frontman and creative impetus of Ghost (a band that I love, by the way), is being sued by ex members. Bands, being bands, often have their own internal conflicts and Ghost is not immune to them. The allegations suggest that he treated his bandmates like second-rate subcontractors, and paid them even worse. I love Ghost, but I do have to say that the whole sordid saga has taken off some of the shine. Looking forward to new music nonetheless.

What an amazing new song that is at the 1:30 mark, my excitement for the new album just raised even further, I have been converted to accepting the new band having being previously worried about the previous Ghouls being given the push, definitely seems to be that Tobias is the mastermind behind everything

You know, when I first heard that one, my first thought was "corny" when I heard the chorus. And then within 24 hours I realized it was running thru my head again and again just like old ghost tracks did.. weird.. I end up liking it even when my first reaction is 'cringe'. Maybe Lucifer IS helping him (I'm kidding of course) lol ;)

From what I can gather (admittedly I've only been into the band a few months, so I admit I'm not the expert) no gov't has toppled, thus the new Papa with each album. When each tour ends and it's realized there's no change, it's decided a new Papa is needed to further "the cause". At least that's my take on a new Papa for each album.

But the big question is that after all the rituals, tours and heavy makeup for about a decade, will they ever manage to topple any government?

Does "re-instated" necessarily means "killed" or "dead"? Seems like the Papas have been put back into their ceremonial dresses and make-up, then put into those typical boxes for music instruments and concert props and equipment, and may resurrect on stage!

They are "reinstated" and going to be on the road again due to their corpses being carted around for viewing. That would also be a reason for them to be put into touring boxes.

For the vip packages we get access to veneration of relics. They said in the live stream that we would be able to take selfies with them, etc. My guess is that they are the relics. Being able to take pictures with their bodies.

PurpleDinoRhino yes, that's exactly right.. I think the backstage display of the "relics" is the only way he can legally portray papa while this lawsuit is going on. But I still say, I don't think we've seen the last of the "live" papas.. the fans would have convulsions of delight if they brought one or all of the papas back sometime down the line. I'm sure Tobias knows this.

Sad to see the "death" of the Papas, but still.. there's nothing to suggest that they won't be "resurrected" at some point, somewhere down the line. Death is only the beginning after all.. Definitely loving the new music here though! Hype for the new album has intensified xD
