Great sound! An amazing cover

I’ve been a bassist my whole life…yet always found myself in need of a drummer. Now at 30-something I’ve decided to learn drums (I could always knock out a straightforward punk beat when I had to…)but really hone a skill…and I decided to use ghost as a guide. I’m working their whole catalogue. Everything is very syncopated and easy to break down.

Cool, good luck! Ghost is great for learning drums I think. Often simple beats, but with clever and tasteful details thrown in here and there

Thanks man! :) I don’t do anything special, I think it’s because I play over the original, and my drum sound is then mixed with the original drum sound. I have to play everything exactly like in the original for this, which is the hardest part actually. P.S.: I’m currently preparing everything to send you the tracks for our collab🤘🏻

I think it’s just compression and EQ :)

Could you do a lesson on how you do the triplets on the kick?

Hmm I wouldn’t really know how to teach this, it’s just a matter of practice. Drumming to Iron Maiden for years definitely helps :D Maybe just slow down the tempo of the video to x0.75 or x0.50 to learn it
