I’m not going to lie. This song chokes me up/makes me cry every time. Easily my favorite cover they’ve done.
It might be a non-hit, but it’s probably their most beautiful song. Top 3 at least. It was released on an EP.

This is the closing song on the Meliora album and it's such a perfect way to end it. It's become something I look forward to whenever I listen to the album!
I like your complex talking about every single song you react to on your channel. I would be definitely curious on your opinion on Respite On The Spitalfields or Absolution. Two my absolutely favourite Ghost songs.
Uh oh, I'm typing this at the intro. It's a slow one... annnnnnnnnnnnnd, he liked it! I was worried it might be too slow, but as I watched it, it was easy to see he was enjoying it. Very much unlike the rest of their catalog, but then again, they jump all over the map and that makes them all the more interesting.

Very good reaction, it was very nice to watch and hear your insights on this one! Edit; The ending voice is God saying he regret making mankind and earth, which makes sense seeing as Ghost is a satanic themed band
More GHOST! The low octave voice you will here again and again in other Ghost songs too. For something totally different from GHOST is Twenties. Let's see a reaction to Faith from a pale tour named Death. Mary on a cross live official video from Tampa is memorable all the way to finish after Papa shush the audience. Spillways official video is the first video that we see Papa clap to start the dancers. So much more to GHOST

Good reaction! This is a sample of the melodic side of Ghost, try something heavier, like "Absolution" or "Cirice". When you do you will see what they are capable of!
I am from Sweden and this is a cover of a Swedish song by Imperiet from the 80s. Just so you know. I am a metal singer in 2 bands, but if you want proof just search Imperiet - Bibel. The same song... but in swedish.
The voice in the end of the song is the most important. Its from the Bible and in this song Ghost wonder, who will pray for the guys God wiped away I will wipe from the face of the Earth This human race I have created And with them, the animals, the birds And the creatures that move along the ground For I regret that I have made them

Imperiet also did it in english, with these lyrics. However, the swedish version is musically a bit more edgy.
Definitely check out “Deus in Absentia” or “Absolution” from the same album Meliora! 🤘🏻

Ghost didn't write the song....its a cover.
The end was a Genisis verse from the bible. It is ment to be God.
Ghost has sold their soul to the devil like so many other bands. So let's see if it works out for them. Or maybe Papa Emeritus (Tobias) is actually the devil in human form. Nobody knows but the music speaks for itself.
