Papa's singing was rough because he was ill when he did this song. You can hear it in his voice. But he went on anyway,not wanting to disappoint his fans.

I'm glad to be proven right, because I've heard him live and he's fucking immaculate, even better than on recording in some ways. Sounds super painful to have pushed through but that checks out. He's a cool guy.

years ago, I saw King Diamond and he was also ill... he took a few breaks, no one in the crowd minded at all, they finished their great show.... can definitely tell Papa wasn't 100% but still loved this!!

That nameless ghoul on the guitar is just caught up in the song, Awesome!

But Forge, putting it in a Ghost line up, places an insanely clever juxtaposition, contrasting the band's premise of celebrating the enemies of God with the very song with which the faith he pokes fun of calls for in the verses that in which ask to pray for the wicked and the broken. When Ghost performs this, it bolsters the band's narrative and honestly romanticizes it and adds such an awesome mysterious air to the rest of their work. Diiiig it. ; )

@@danielx1224 Dig this performance of theirs. Love hearing Forge too along with Imperiet's lead whenever they sing in Swedish. Clearly Ford digs them. Ever listen to a full live show of theirs? Of Imperiet I mean. Straight up, alongside Sabbath and some other darker metal (Repugnant! Haha!), Forge has kinda made an ode type concept, but it's a pop metal band. So awseome! He is the master mind and, if he regrets it, it can only mean he failed and Satan and his clergy will be here to support and protect us from god's whims.

First time seeing this. That song on record absolutely blew my mind with those amazing lush harmonies, and this choir here, it was fantastic. Made me want to be in that choir singing that loud. Wow. Thanks for posting

Love the passion of this. You can feel it. Pretty rare these days.

Imperiet, the writers of this song, were so under-rated. I listened to them constantly while I lived in Sweden mid 80s. Hard to compete with the original version.

It's not weird for him to forget the lyrics in parts that sounds too much like others, he usually has that problem mostly with Life Eternal, with "but in your eyes" and "within your heart".

I think it’s cruel and unusual punishment making the unknown band wear masks while playing. It’s gotta be hot and tough to breath in them. Plus not being credited for anything. I know they’re probably paid well. I would draw the line.

Kinda proving that point, bud. How the hell you gonna act like heaven or faith doesn't exist when listening to Ghost? Lmao. All their songs are about the second half of Christianity and sin. The whole point of believing in evil and in Lucifer is to also have to believe in good and God. That's the natural order and balance. Can't say you believe in demons without first admitting angels to soar in Heaven.

Actually,they didnt use autotune. In the studio Forge was able to control every note and pitch.Live there is always errors and off beats with any band. Here is seems that Papa is very tired. His singing is rough and off a bit.

Well Martin left before they all got fired for suing him. Martin left on his own accord for his own reasons. Tobias also was asked in Court is Martin was involved in this conflict and Tobias answered "no". Tobias was also asked in Court if he'd work with Martin again and he replied "Certainly"
