But Tasha knew if Ghost left the drug game, she would no longer be necessary to him. Their bond was based on her being complicit in his lifestyle, that's why we are told the story of her hiding the gun for him. Tasha represents criminality and Angela represents Law and order. Ghost is constantly stuck in between the two worlds and that's what drove the story.

@@raheemgilliam2224 Naw she didnt hate her dad they had a complicated relationship. Ghost was not supposed to be the the antagonist. If you follow the story and theme what ghost was supposed to be and ultimately was,was a misunderstood protagonist which is what he was and Power Book 2 Ghost proves that. The whole first season of 2 is Tariq beginning to understand who and why his father was. Kemp stated in her interview that her dad was about image an that once he died she understood him more because she started dealing with things her dad did as a writer that made sense to her now that she is older. She compares herself to Tariq and all of season 1 of power 2 Tariq started to understand why his dad did things he did. This is why Power Book 2 is called Ghost.

In the beginning when Ghost told Tasha he wanted to go legit I knew it would be an ongoing battle between the two of them. Ghost is boring if he isn’t moving weight and funding her lifestyle.
