SUPREETAM, one of the premier cultural organization of Odisha was founded by Samir
Kumar Behera in the 2008 at D.P.PUR, JALESWAR, BALASORE, Registration No-22834/44.
Since its inception it has been engaged in projecting Odisha DANCE, MUSIC, ART and culture
through the country.
In the year 2010 it has started a SUBARNNAREKHA DANCE festival of dance & life
time achievement award from 13th& 14thJune at rural underdeveloped village. The purpose
behind this festival is to create awareness of our cultural heritage in the National and
International level. This festival showcase a wide range of performing & creative items
which includes Classical Dance, Chhau Dance, Gotipua Dance, Sand Art, Tribal Folk Dance,
& Puchi khela etc. Near 250 artistes from different disciplines perform on the different days
of FESTIVAL, we also aim to embrace many artistes into its cultural fold and aims at
International Cultural amity and Harmony.
From next year we will incorporate International performing groups in our programs
which will give the FESTIVAL the status of an international festival. The main objective of the
institution is to carry on the glorious tradition of our folk culture and to encourage the
promising and talented Dancers and Musician including the physically challenged and
normal artist in their respective fields.
In the true sense SUPREETAM can be called the harbinger NGO and the true cultural
spirit in the land of Balasore, Odisha. Since 2010 it has been organizing festivals every year.
we want to skilled various vocational training above 8th& 10th pass out students through
pottery, carpenter, sewing & many more and to introduce and organize any other activities
for the promotion and propagation of the above aims and objectives and so on. Moreover
we face hurdles and financial crisis to organize such festivals high standard with our private
endeavor and limited resources.
However with the good will and unstined cooperation from art lovers, well wishers and our
artistes’ community we are able to organize such vast event.
Every year on the occasion of RAJA MAUJA 15th June- supreetam kala kendra organized a dance, music, art and jhooti festival to PROMOTION OF RURAL CHILDREN THROUGH CULTURAL ACTIVITY.
