He just added port with unknown box dimensions but it should be calculated by resonance frequency of the box port length and dia should be match to resonance requirement , also subwoofer and LP filter should be match with that resonance this is very Advance and professional mathod for efficient sound output .

@Nil gaming there is relation between resonance and dimensions of speaker ( as you said parameter ) and there is not much standard option for Subwoofer for particular size all speaker gives good result on its fundamental frequency

For this cheap local quality 5" woofer the ported part is ok but the sealed part is too small , if you want to make a bandpass box but have no measurements then go for a 8inch woofer and make a ported box (and don't use it with full volume) and boom you got a subwoofer in which you can feel very good bass

Big mistake , without fuse or thermal cutoff protection its transformer can overheat and catch fire with box . SMPS is best

भाई आपने home theater बहुत अच्छा बनाया लेकिन आपने subwoofer की बजाए wooofer लगा दिया क्योंकि home theater का subwoofer ऐसा नहीं होता है आपने जो woofer इस्तमाल किया हे उससे bass बहुत कम आयेगा बस आप subwoofer इस्तमाल करो क्योंकि में एक technician हू इसीलिए मुसे पता है 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
