Mr. Sandhu is right in saying that each one of us needs to do - whatever one deems approprite and effective, to make sure that our children, and their children do not face the same fate as the Sikhs faced in 1984. I don’t like this narrative that this week is a sad period. The Sikhs fought absolutely brilliantly against the a far superior army with limited weapons. It was the victory of the sport rather than a worldly victory.

If sikh kaum want this tragedy never repeat we must create strong nation to defend our people and our sovereignty. 1984 genocide was biggest attack on our sovereignty.

Every religion or ethnicity has issues, and they do protest and show resistance, but maybe for not too long, simply try to forget because fighting for freedom demands man power, and encouragement and love for what we want to save: culture or religious values, you keep hearing sikhs demanding for khalistan or their rights because these rights were promised, read jwaharlal nehru’s statement on it. We still love what our martyrs fought for, we do not want to forget. You are just inside a bubble of your own biases, and probably never experienced such atrocities first hand. Please do some research.

Yet have had air force, army, combined forces chiefs, prime minister, governors of states, other cabinet positions. Highly respected by one and all across india. Infact the richest or the most successful sikhs live for generations in mumbai, delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, kolkotta, chennai, maybe ask them if there is any atrocity against them.
