I absolutely love the writing. I was cheering Trina today. She chose herself and I’m glad. Too often we see women clinging to their men on soap no matter what, and I was afraid they were going to do that with Trina. I'm happy that the writers decided to fix this and finally have Trina speak her mind about the entire dysfunctional situation. Power to her!

Note: Spencer was terrified of not knowing what Trina was about to say, he knew she looked and acted differently than ever before. She was bad to the bone and laid it out so gently to him and he had a choice to walk away from her. Trina is the best thing that has ever happened to him, and he knows it.

As much as their fighting can get tiresome, this was amazing! I'm so glad that Trina stood her ground. She was firm, but caring and didn't give in, which is the kind of person Spencer needs. Hopefully this leads to a little more romance for the two of them.

Tiresome is the word!!!! I know anticipation makes us watch and soaps aren’t meant to be realistic but come on! This is too much unnecessary back and forth! They have the ability to be living together fighting over who is messier not this storyline.

Seems like we had to WAIT forever to get to this basic, straight forward, obvious, common sense-azz conversation. Trina's just saying what the fans have been thinking. Glad she laid it out plain and simple. Why can't the writers see that THIS is what I watch for....the authenticity and genuine response of a character like Trina in this situation. I could FEEL her today and relate. She was strong, clear as a bell and still loving towards Spencer.

I am glad they had this talk because both needed to be face-to-face and not sugar-coating words. This is part of being in a relationship and this was exactly what Trina asked him over at Dex's place, what about our relationship he said not to make him choose Ace or her. She broke it down to Spencer and he was shocked that his girlfriend was pushed to choose herself and he thought only about Ace. Trina showed Spencer in a classy way what a diamond he has, and boy is she. She made me at age 69 so proud of her style and I love her for that. She is a bad-to-the-bone type of lady, and he should be happy that she loves him. Trina is a keeper.

I'm so glad that the word "Boundaries " FINALLY Fell into focus for both Spencer & Trina!!! It shouldn't have taken this long , but i understand!

Kudos to Tabyana and Nicholas....they always bring their A game. As good Sis Trina Robinson says "finally". This was a much needed conversation. This is the first time that Spencer has heard Trina say she will remove herself from the situation. Reality check hit my guy like a ton of bricks. I appreciate his honesty when he told Trina it's going to take time for him to fully accept a reduced role in Ace's life. He didn't lie to Trina and say he's all good now but he is letting her know he will get there in time. That is growth. Esme bluff is an epic failure because Spencer will let her go without a fight. She is going to be all kinds of petty and put the brakes on him seeing Ace. As I have said before, the real Esme is gonna surface. I'm speculating that Esme and Trina at some point are going to have a confrontation. I can see Trina confronting her over using Ace to hurt Spencer. Esme is forever in denial about how much Spencer loves Trina and the extent that he will go to keep her in his life. When he confronted her about framing Trina that should have been her first clue. This could be a pure reach on my part but am I the only one that watched Tabyana's face and thought that she knew how important this scene was for the fans who are so done with this storyline.

@@user-ct9qe2yj3r That drug Esme used, she laughed and used 2 pills on Trina instead of 1 and that is one of the #2 dangerous drugs that has killed many folks in my state and my small rural town. Trina should have been checked out for any signs of side effects left in her body from that drug. I lost a friend 4 years ago to this same drug and he mixed liquor with it and died. Thanks for your comment on the message. GH is trying to make us forgive and redeem Esme for her wrongdoing. Trina gets sick when she is around her and Spencer knows it now. Esme does not like Trina and never has.

Finally, they have had that one on one real talk with each other....I don't really know if Spencer truly got what anyone is saying regarding his situation with Ace and Esme, but what he now knows for sure is that Trina is an independent female and she will do what is best for her. She don't need anyone walking all over her good nature., and if he loves and don't want to lose her, he had to choose, which he did.....all in all, it was beautiful between them today, had me blushing and smiling😊😊

Beautifully stated. He even acknowledged that she chooses to love him, warts and all. Up to this point she was just simply a friend, a confidant. But the love they have requires more from him than making demands and giving ultimatums if he's not comfortable with living with the consequences. The prince is learning.

I was surprised by today's episode but it was definitely a good surprise! I thought Spencer was gonna keep on with crazy Ace talk but he didn't he apologized and admitted he needs to change and I'm glad Trina stood her ground ❤ flipped on him and my choice is me ❤ that gave him a wake up call! Sprina still going strong 🎉🎉

Being in love with Spencer does not mean that Trina has to compromise who she is. After all, Spencer did fall in love with the woman that she is, and he needed to be reminded of that. There are certain decisions that Spencer needed to make because he is in a relationship with Trina, and that relationship requires more than just his occasional attention...especially after they made love recently. Relationships are a partnership and they require the input and commitment of both partners to thrive and ascend to a higher level. With Spencer busy burying his abandonment issues into taking care of Ace, after being patient for so long with the madness of Esme and Ace, Trina was bound to run out of patience with Spencer acting like an obsessed father to Ace. Bravo Trina for showing Spencer that you will not sacrifice your self worth in order to maintain your relationship with him. Spencer needed to see the light and you showed him just that. Maybe we can all chip in and send a messenger to him letting him know he’s needed back in PC lol. Although it would be great if his return set the stage for a DNA test which would prove that Ace isn’t a Cassadine (bc I don’t think he is) and the Spencer goes off and Sprina and Jex work together to take Esme down. That could be in time for the next sweeps …whenever they are.

A much needed conversation today between them. I hope we see Spencer start to learn to let go. I like that Trina questions him saying he was committed to change. So glad Trina said what all fans and viewers were thinking today she should not have to play outcast in her own relationship. Also even though spencer agreed to back off they will still have problems because esme will keep thinking up ways of getting spencer to always come over to her place and cause further problems. She will most likely make up emergencies about ace so spencer is spending a majority of his time there and Trina will see this is just a game to her. Eventually spencer may have to use that evidence victor left him to get any type of rights to ace.

Spencer, you told Esme it would be hard and remind her of that talk. Spend time with Trina or if Ace needs something take Trina with you if she is not in class. Get her involved with Ace & You. I think you are right; Spencer will use that information in the safe deposit box.

If they become the new young adult buddy couple it will be mind me of old school Liz/lucky and Emily/Nicholas. At this point I do think she’s lost her memories and isn’t faking the amnesia. However I read something on another Sprina channel that Esme will be getting her memories back maybe around Feb. Which coincides with NAC coming back… I think he starts filming next month.

I loved this conversation with Spencer & Trina, it was overdue, and I do know that Spencer knows he has a lady who will stand by him. He has to put her first and stand by her. She let him know once again that she is not making him choose between Ace & her. She will choose herself and he needs to figure out where if he wants to choose their relationship first. She also pointed out that he can still set boundaries with Ace, but she rather not be around Esme. Trina feels uncomfortable around her, and Spencer should realize that and not put her in that situation again. I was just proud of her letting him know she has been on the sidelines watching him with Esme & Ace and she will not be a part of it any longer. Spencer saw the hurt in Trina's face and her body, she loves him but can't keep in this toxic relationship with Esme & Ace. Trina does not ask him for anything but only his love. He knows that he has a rare diamond in Trina, and he does not want to lose her. I am Team SPRINA to the end.

I was speechless to hear Spencer saying please baby please the look on his face.

I'm glad Spencer and Trina made up after their fight , but I wished that we had the chance to see the full conversation leading to the make up. It was like she told him how she felt then threatened to walkaway , and all of a sudden he says he'll back off and he knows he was wrong. I was actually hoping to have them hash out the argument of her saying "finally" and them both clearifying what the other meant in the fight. That she meant that finally Esme was moving out and she wasn't talking about Ace. When Spencer got mad what he heard was that Trina was happy the Ace would be gone ; eventhough she never mentioned his name. Esme and Ace are a packaged deal so when one leaves the other follows so both Spencer and Trina weren't thinking about the other. As much as Esme "doesnt" remember what she did to Trina the fact is she still did it , so by Spencer subjecting Trina to be around Esme is not right and is disrespectful. She may be a good mother to Ace and don't have her memory , but it doesn't mean that it can't return plus she could do more damage. I just wish it lasted longer than maybe 10 mins and I hope they don't make Spencer back track and allow Esme to reel him back in by using Ace. I don't want Spencer to make Trina his one and only priority she can be his number one but I want him to focus on other things besides Trina and Ace. What I would like is that he sets boundaries for him and Ace , he finds his own apartment as well (so Trina can come over without being worried of having to bump into Esme , and he has no reason to live at Laura and Kevin's) and focus on getting the Cassidine fortune and changing the reputation. I want him to have his own goals and dreams and not allow Esme nor Nicholas to define him and that he's his own person. Finally deal with his daddy issues head on with Kevin so he can be the MAN that Trina fell in love with and be happy together.

I am glad Trina set some boundaries. Tired of Spencer playing in her face every damn episode. He clearly needs therapy for his abandonment issues and his need to control everything. Trina is too pretty, self motivated, and ambitious to waste her time with a man who is treating her like an option. Spencer better get it together!

Aretha Franklin is singing RESPECT from heaven!! Go Trina! Loved it!! Spencer with tears in his eyes really needs help with his abandonment trauma. He really loves and needs his brother. A sane Esme would work out a schedule with Spencer and other possible child caregivers, so Esme could grow also. But Esme is not sane. She's using Ace as a pawn to reel Spencer in.

@bonniewynn8476, yes Aretha would be singing RESPECT. My lady Spencer was about to cry, and Trina saw it, but she had to stand up for herself and him. He didn't realize how much Esme had hurt Trina and Trina was loving him so much, that she didn't put herself first. Esme is not going to like Trina around Spencer with Ace; this is where the boundaries come in. I recall Esme telling Trina over at Laura's, you don't tell me how to raise my child. Trina and Spencer suggested something to calm Ace down and she was so hateful to Trina. Trina just stayed out of things, she always asked about Ace but that was it. Esme knows what she is doing, and Trina feels it.

I am so happy that trina finally said waht she needed to say, NO MORE STANDING ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN SPENCER. So happy for trina. Loved when spencer did the Dwayne Wayne "babe please" when for a second he thought trina was going to breakup with him I think at the second he finally saw a life without trina was unbearable that he is ready to make the changes needed to make for trina's happiness including his own. Spencer knew Trina was fed up and tired of this house playing with Esme & Ace and no sweet-talking her down this time. He was just happy with the kissing; they need a place with no darn interruptions at all.

When Spencer was saying "Baby Please", I thought of James Brown's song called: Please, Please, Please Don't go, Honey, Please don't go because I love you so. He begged in that hit song, on his knees, breaking down crying. I loved that Trina kept talking and bringing back the words that he said to her at Dex's place. He knew instantly that his lady meant business and she would leave him..

Yep, the decisions we make must feel organic, intrinsic, or else it's hard for anyone to commit to. I was very proud of him. No tears has he shed meant this much to me since he was kid. He was extremely vulnerable and tough love helped get him here. He's been flying free until now. Although wealthy, he has to pay a toll where money isn't the currency of exchange. He has to acknowledge it was wrong for him to ever try to block Nik from that boy. That's not his place or his call to make, especially when he assumed he could learn via Ace, as if Nik wasn't allowed immunity for learning through him. @@nfgc86

SPENCER look like he was going to 😢cry

I struggled to find the right words to describe how I feel because I am full of surprise & amazement with Spencer's breakthrough in this episode. This is what I have been waiting for for a long time ever since Spencer became obsessed with Ace. Initially, I thought he & Trina were going to break up because Spencer always chose Ace over his girlfriend and he has been so stubborn & persistent in his ways & his perspective when it comes to his little brother. But at long last, he's finally come to his senses and realized that he needs to let Ace go with Esme, and make things better with Trina by putting her first instead of second. It will take a while for him to accept the change like he said, but at least he's taking the first step in going through this by admitting he was wrong about all that he'd been persistent in with Ace. I hope for more growth in him in the future. Applause for Trina for standing up for herself and her needs, and to everyone else who pushed Spencer to move forward with his life (Laura, Kevin, Esme and Joss).

@micjones42, I also was surprised and so happy that Trina got through to Spencer. I do believe he was shocked, but he hurt Trina in front of Joss & Dex by telling her not to make him choose between Ace & her. Trina was hurt and embarrassed he did it in front of Joss & Dex, she had to walk out. The breakthrough was Trina telling him that he didn't give her a choice to choose, and she said that she chooses herself and if he chooses to be with Esme & Ace, it will be without her. If Spencer thinks back, every time Esme came around him & Trina, Trina was uncomfortable, and he saw it several times. Trina didn't say anything to him about it. Another thing Spencer bald Trina out in front of Joss & Dex and Trina & he were having a one-on-one conversation by themselves. He felt Trina's hurt from what Esme did to her and he knew she would leave him and make that sacrifice if he wanted to be with Esme & Ace, she could not take it anymore. Joss had told him earlier that it looked bad, and Trina was hurting. Her love for Spencer reversed the role back on him and you didn't ask me what my choice was. Spencer's look was like she was going to dump him (he was frightened for the first time in their relationship). Trina didn't select him but herself (that was dope to me). Many women and men should choose themselves first and not last in a relationship. I am glad they made up and now both need to get counseling from that evil ordeal on the Haunted Starr, they didn't get checked out. Thanks for your response, my dear.

I told you guys it was the vindictive way he said he wouldn't choose her over Ace that sent her to the lab of her thoughts. It hurt me to hear it. On this day Trina repeated what she told him on that day. She'll see herself out of his bovine excrement. By now Spencer is trying to say he was wrong to say it that way, but he wasn't leaving the dung heap. He couldn't take it back. It harkens to her nightmare. She doesn't want to be left dangling over a cliff while he chooses Eczema who is holding Ace. The optics of that gave me indigestion for her. I was growing tired of Portia being right. I was ready for her to exit the relationship if it meant she didn't have to see that up close and wonder about his loyalty to her. I don't know how anyone can call Trina selfish when all she does is put others first. He forgot who she was or he at least felt that she was not going to reach a breaking point. @@marshagreen9759

@@creating1_c1999 I was thinking that Spencer was going to prove Portia right and glad he "Snapped out of it". Trina is Spencer's saving grace, and she is the glue in this relationship. When Trina reversed his words back on him in a sweet way, he looked and felt like she did when he embarrassed her a few days ago. When Trina chose herself, that took her up a level so high. Spencer looked like a jerk, I had hurt my love and might just lose her forever. He knows that Trina loves and has put up with this situation for too long and is classy about it. He didn't choose her but would choose Ace, but she chose herself and that is better than gold. Spencer did take Trina for granted but no more and I do not care what others say about Trina, she is bad to the bone to me (Excellent in my day). Selfish is Esme and Trina has been an angel to me and that is my story.

Spencer and Trinia are starting to give me Nicholas and Gia vibes and I'm most definitely here for it. Gia was smart and determined and knew exactly what she wanted, hence the nickname Princess Sparky! Nicholas was head over heels in love with Gia and would do anything to make his TRUE LOVE happy (not the sad Emily)! Trina is smart and ambitious like Gia, and Spencer is written like Nikolas was when he was that age. Nikolas never got a better storyline than he did with Gia because otherwise, I think that Nikolas played second fiddle to Jonathan Jackson and Lucky and Nikolas were not given much to do when Tyler Christopher returned and Greg Vaughn was playing Lucky.

It feel like they cut a scene, i thought i had missed something when they went from talking to Joss walking in and they were just kissing. I wanted to see the end of the conversation, them reaching for each other and kissing for the first time since fighting. I also felt for a moment Trina's heart broke when he said i need to let go, just for a split second she couldn't tell who he was letting go of.

I never doubted he'd choose her. My biggest surprise was him acknowledging she was right along. That was palate cleansing. Because if he's choosing to create boundaries with Ace/Eczema situation it needed to be something he arrived at on his own. A lot of the reality checks along the way helped, but he never forgot the original talks he had with Trina. This proves he was simply muting the sound, but he's heard it all along. @@tipsy5806

So glad that Trina said what she said. You could tell Spencer got real nervous bc he started talking fast with the “please no” for a bit lol. I think it’s important for him to know that Trina has standards and expectations and she’s not so sweet that she’ll just accept anything. I do wish she would have said “for starters these are my boundaries when visiting Ace..” or something like that …aka y’all can’t be doing play dates as a “family”. I know some are complaining that she took him back too fast but remember, in soap land she hadn’t talked to him in like 2/3 days …based on the outfits lol. Plus he talked to joss and she gathered him as well. I’m sure there will be other stuff with Esme but I’m just gonna stay in the relief period for a bit lol. I hope NAC filmed/ is filming alot of stuff ahead of time for gh so we can see their relationship develop. While he’s doing his movie. I know this will be a challenge for Spencer but he’ll figure it out 🤞🏽

I definitely agree. The Cold War is not about a specified time to rejoin talking, but about preparing oneself for the possibility that no agreement can be met. She was ready to let him go. Letting her go is out of the question for him. Joss definitely helped even if he didn't give her the indication of the direction he was going.

It took Spencer over 2 years to catch this beauty and with a couple of hateful words, she walked out on him in Dex's apartment. He needs Trina so bad; he was lost in space after their disagreement that he caused. Spencer thought he knew Trina but dam well he knows her now. Spencer, you are in training if Trina is going to be your wife, she will not put up with Bull Corn stuff, not in her DNA. Start treating her like your lady with respect and stop using Ace and Esme as a package deal. He got the message, loud and clear. I hope he has "Snapped out of it" because she truly loves him, and Esme does not.

It should have happened long ago because it is seriously overdue. That's why I can't wait until Esme officially gets her memory back. It is hard to go into battle against someone who claims to have no memory of their transgressions.

Can someone please tell this boy that Esme is “starting” to have feelings for him. Him having around Esme isn’t only bad for his relationship with Trina, it’s not fair to Esme, especially if he really thinks she’s not as bad as she use to be. We all know the jury is still out on that one. I love Spencer, but the boy tends to see what he wants to see, that’s how Esme got her hooks in him in the first place.

@tr738, Trina told Spencer and he didn't believe her 2 weeks ago. Now Esme should tell him, and his grandma should tell him that Esme has feelings for him. I think he figured it out when they had that disagreement at Alexis office.

@@marshagreen9759 Maybe, but things seem so jumbled I have no clue. Spencer thinks so little of Esme, she could walk around naked and he wouldn’t notice.

@@vjones4769 Esme only suggested the four of them live together in regard to him saying, I will take care of you and Ace but no romance at all. She did not like that statement from him. Spencer said it was not about Ace and after she left, Spencer called Trina, that is when I thought he felt she was having feelings for him.

Is it me or does Spencer have way more respect for Trina than he does for Esme? Like he doesn't even think Esme is capable enough to raise her own child by herself. He views Esme as inferior I can't believe people actually ship Esme with him. If I was an Esme fan (which I am NOT) I would want her with someone who saw her worth (Although as a viewer I dont see her worth I just see her as a convict out on borrowed time and an incubator for Ace.)

I’ve just come to believe that the majority of people who ship Spencer and Esme together simply do it because they don’t like him with Trina. Ex: There are people who hate Spencer on the GH subreddit, have never had anything nice to say about the character and love Esme. And just the thought of Sprina breaking up, made them so happy that they were willing to have their fav, Esme, paired with Spencer. That told me all I needed to know.

They relate to her. They really had a conniption at Spencer's entire performance, in utter disbelief. I read one screaming in caps "don't be begging her, she should be begging you" and one Karen accused Trina of making him choose. This tells you that when someone doesn't have boundaries, they find that people who enforce theirs to be "judgemental" and high handed. Spencer knows his woman. Even though he likes having control, knows Trina is a capable free thinking woman. He loves her for her strength, honesty, love, and convictions. Eczema slept with Nik and they overlook that. @@lexi6797 Yeap! You are right and too many darn haters who hate Spencer with Trina (it is not working). They are getting so popular in other countries, and I love this couple. Every time they grace the set of General Hospital, they bring their "A Game." It's a shame that Esme slept with Spencer her boyfriend at the time and turned around and slept with his dad (nasty) and they prop her up like "Mother Teresa" or a saint. NAC and Tabby have great chemistry and they are friends on and off screen. I loved your comment.

@blee5669, I agree with your statement that Spencer has more respect for Trina than Esme because of these reasons: (1) He found out Esme slept with his dad and had Ace (2) He found out Esme used him through her dad Ryan as a plant to break up his dad and Ava (3) Spencer found Esme drugged Trina and Oz, he found the pills and took them to Britt and (4) He actually fell in love with Trina and she risked her life on the Haunted Starr to be with him. He also found out Esme filmed a sex tape of Joss & Cameron, his friend & cousin, and framed Trina for it. Who would you respect Trina or Esme? Esme has no worth because when she came to Port Charles she didn't try to get along with Joss, Cameron, or Trina, she was always hateful. In order to obtain worth, you have to earn it and be kind which she is not. Spencer saw light and darkness with Trina being the (light) and Esme being the (darkness). Esme is not capable of raising Ace, she needs help and Spencer is always there to help her out.

Here's my prediction.... Esmeralda is going to have total recall ... From a mind l point of view and may have a mental break down bc of the new Esmeralda not wanting to be a psychopath .... Trina's absolutely right to keep her distance ... Spence my main man that campout session in the dorms 😁👍💯 ... Now you just need to learn how to grovel a little bit more .... Back to the weekend getaways and Island apology vacations ... You may get back completely in Trina's good graces ...

Not only hurt but all the time he didn't spend with Trina and spent with Esme & Ace. He let Trina down and she was so darn patient with him and his situation (that is true love).

I'm glad that Trina let Spencer know that she has reached her limit. I hope he keeps his word, but i don't think he will. He loses all common sense around that baby, and i expect E to start scheming if/when Spencer starts backing off. I do think that Trina will leave him if he backslides, and that losing Trina may trigger something in Spencer because he's not just in love, but ' crazy in love'. Emphasis on the crazy.

@JoseConnelly, Spencer has said those words several times to Trina, he is crazy in love with her. When Trina told him you said don't make me choose you or Ace, but you didn't ask me who I would choose. Spencer looked so nervous and like he was about to cry because he didn't know what her answer would be. She said I chose myself first, he looked like a hillbilly, and he knows this chick is on fire and will leave him in a nano minute. Spencer has no excuse for messing up with Trina, when a man loves a woman like Spencer loves Trina, they will make it as a couple.

We, who know his pedigree but love his love for her are keenly aware that crazy is just below the surface. He sort of reminds me of a daywalking vampire (Blade) or Dr. Jekyll. As long as he has Trina the thirst to let out the crazy is kept in check.

Did you notice what he said. He's going to make her his "one and only priority", _not his first priority_ . That is confirmation that her importance is not only solidified but elevated. Just giving you the heads up that we will have a Spencer and Trina Thanksgiving on Monday.

I think Spencer realizes he's holding Trina back and now he decide to let go and let her live life but make room for him.Spencer cannot call the shots any more.

Did you hear him say that she is his one and only priority? Most people don't think like that. They say "my first priority". He's not letting her go. He has accepted that she holds the power and can walk away whereas it's a struggle for him if he loses her.

I have no idea. I never saw Ace as anything but lazy angst, a tool to gain sympathy for a villain, and maybe symbolism for Spencer reckoning with his past trauma and fear of abandonment. @@lulaallen

@@creating1_c1999 He did say that but when Joss came in and saw they had made up, Trina said he listened, and next Spencer was taking his jacket off. The boy was so happy that he had not lost her. Yes, Trina holds the power of their love. Spencer had a "Come to Jesus Awakening" when Trina was about to let him go, no matter how much she loved him.

These s/l are so whack seems like all these people are dysfunctional first of all father and son need to stop sleeping with the same women thats like half of the trouble i remember Michael and Morgan fighting Sonny for custody of Avery and getting attached now Spencer bruh there's always someone in this show tryna hold on to somebody else's kid and yet irl we have so many parentless children

Am bothered by this constant interruption by Joss the lrast she could do was just close the door gently n leave them a bit to make out she rudely interupted as usual

Wwe had wait so long for sprina kiss everything hS been long gh they deserve to be happy yall have made is wait to perfect sprina they have been there for each other they are connected spencer been very supportive trina had problem with portia its ti.e pull esma and ace out senerio they deserve to be happy with no interference look how long just kiss look how long nyc theyve been going threw one thong after another sprina deserve abreak without interference

The question was said were hard on esma but thats not a little crimes trina was almost destroyed drug almost messed her education and exposed a sex tape of joss and cam they was violated and trina couldve went jail so im hard because thats not something you look ovet its something trina have live with but consequences should be the crimes are serious

Now that sprina is now closer I wonder if nic comin back and him wanting to take ace will be a bigger angst cause I can see ebola use that to get spencer closer to her again by once again pitting son vs dad over ace
